From the man who brought you Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels comes this hilarious and hyper-stylized gangster opus focusing on a valuable diamond and a collection of quirky criminals -- arriving on DVD courtesy of Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment. The feature is viewable in either the original aspect ratio of 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen or 1.33:1 pan-and-scan, with audio selections including closed-captioned English Dolby Digital 5.1 or French Dolby Digital Surround with optional English, French, or Pikey subtitles. Bonus materials include director and producer audio commentary, "Stealing Stones" enhanced branching mode, and production notes.

Great indie film

I have seen this movie countless of times and it is one of my favorites. Boxing promoters, bookies and amateur robbers are after a stolen diamond and goes for a wild goose chase. Different stories are told in various ways and a chain reaction is waiting to happen.

Vampires living forever

Ever wish that you can live forever?...Hear the tales of one of the vampires in this classic thriller. Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise played their parts perfectly..
What's great about it: All star cast and acting.

Not as good as the first 2
on November 3, 2007

I don't want to repeat what others have mentioned already...The movie ran far too long when it should have ended about 30mins earlier or so. The story line is fairly good...lots of drama and the action sequences are good.
What's great about it: Venom, cool GCI scenes
What's not so great: Movie ran too long...Sandman has no point in the movie

Gattaca is a story set in the not-so-distant future where genetic tampering is all that stands between you and your future. Originally released a few years ago on DVD, Gattaca has been released a second time by Columbia in a new "Superbit" edition (which means a clearer picture and fuller sound) on DVD. This 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer looks exceptionally sharp and detailed. Everything in the image, including the colors, fleshtones, and black levels, are spot-on and very well-rendered; in short, this is a great-looking transfer by Columbia. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and DTS Surround, both featured in English. The DTS track and Dolby 5.1 track both sound full and expansive with no distortion or hiss present. The surround feature in both the rear and front speakers is heavy and very full with great clarity. Much like the video portion of this disc, the soundtrack is also top-notch. Also included on this disc are English, Chinese, French, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Thai subtitles. Columbia's theory is that since they are giving you great sound and video quality components, you don't need any extra features. As such, nary a trailer or commentary track can be found on this Gattaca: Superbit DVD. For those with a great home theater and TV, this disc is a very worthwhile buy. Otherwise, John Q. Buyer should stick with the original DVD release.

Underrated sci fi thriller

The first time I saw this movie was in high school and it really impressed me as it relates to science, culture and it has ties to today's society. The movie has a lot of meaning to it and it makes you think if there is ever an superior human being who is not genetically perfect.
The script is written flawlessly and the score is amazing good. This is my favorite film of all time.
What's great about it: All star cast and acting.
What's not so great: A movie this good, there are no cons.

The master of slasher flicks
on October 21, 2007

A Nightmare on Elm Street started all the slasher flicks. Freddy Kruger has become the cult classic horror icon and after watching this movie, you'll be too afraid to fall asleep. Watch this film at your own risk!

Better than expected
on October 21, 2007

Don't let the theme of the movie fool you to think it will suck. It is a great car movie with lots of car drifting scenes. It does not have any GCI parts like 2fast 2 furious. Every drifting scene is all choreographed by real race car drivers, so that alone made this movie better than it seems.
Watch for the cameo at the end...I think there will be another movie to add to the series.
What's great about it: Real neat drifting
What's not so great: Plot similar to the first movie

Is is what a great shooter game is about.
on October 19, 2007

Its not hard to find out why Rainbox Six:Vegas is the best first person shooter game. The entire AI of the game is really responsive and much lifelike. When being shot at, you can feel the affects and the health system reacts very much like in GEARS OF WAR. This game is a must for every 360 owner
What's great about it: Realistic gameplay, command system
What's not so great: Not enough missions and objectives

Classic cartoon movie anyone can enjoy
on October 19, 2007
Posted by: Celestin
I was a huge fan of the TMNT cartoon series that debuted in the 80s and after seeing the 3 previous live action turtles movie, I find the new CGI flim to be fun filling. Good to see the turtles return just like the old times, and they never seem to change one bit.
The plot of the movie remains unchanged very much alike the series, the brothers feud over leadership and bond, tackling the villains and out saving the city.
The CGI animation is impressive, particularly when Leonardo and Raphael have a fight atop of a building, you can see the rain elements drop like it was live action.
What's great about it: The 4 lovable turtles
What's not so great: Story line is the same as before

History in the big screen
on October 18, 2007

You don't need to be a history buff to enjoy this movie. Its sort of gory, action packed and the CGI is superb. If you liked Troy or Gladiator...you'll definitely enjoy 300.
What's great about it: Epic action movie, vibrant cinematography
What's not so great: none

Any film by Michael Bay isn't entirely all that bad. Transformers has to be his best bit yet. I loved watching the cartoons series as a kid and to see this movie in the big screen is a huge leap. The action scenes will blow away just about anyone its with impressive transforming CGI.
What's great about it: Blockbuster hit...action sequences and Megan Fox!
What's not so great: Not enough transformers in the movie.

Play X Box On Line

My son said he would like to play on line. What do i need to have him do this? I have wireless internet at home.
Purchase the wireless adapter, it is fairly easy to set up and your son can start playing on live right away.

Does the Xbox 360 Arcade have enough memory for gaming?

I'm only going to play video games normally and online. I won't be downloading extras. Does the Arcade have enough memory for me?
The arcade version would be sufficient if you don't plan to have a huge game library. Many games will require some amount of memory for save data and content. It would be nice to have a 20gb harddrive on the side.

how much is a gold membership?

Is it cheap? o_O at least, what's the best buy?
I believe the gold membership is $59. Even when you're not playing on Live everyday of the week, the best value is the 12 month subscription. It literraly pays for itself, compared to 3 months or the 1 month subscription. Save yourself the hassle of renewing it often and save a little money.
