That is the word I would use to describe Bioshock: intense. From the very beginning the game just sucks you in. It feels like you're in a psychological thriller movie and the graphics just reinforce that: I spent over a minute staring at what I thought was a gorgeous cinematic before I realized that the game had actually started and I was supposed to move around. Furthermore, this game is actually SCARY. Not just "oh wow there's an enemy shoot it," but scary like the old Resident Evil games were. Things jump out at you and are so realistic you nearly wet yourself. The eerie ambience is perfectly crafted, making this game a very emotionally involving experience. Certainly a must for anyone who loves surprises.
