This an okay film, but it was overall very short (1 hr 30 min) and lacked much suspense or mystery. Basically the format of the film is going over the same 30 or so minutes again and again from perspectives of different characters to try to get the full picture. This really was not necessary because you already figure out what is going on early in the film. Additionally, I felt there should be more to this story to justify making it a movie. That said it is mildly entertaining and the acting is pretty decent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Irish romance ONCE may be a musical, but it is miles away from the traditional Hollywood idea of people bursting into song. Glen Hansard (frontman for indie rock band The Frames) plays the guy, a street musician who is playing for change when he meets the girl (Marketa Irglova), an immigrant from the Czech Republic. The pair immediately bond over their shared love of music (he is a guitarist, and she plays the piano), and the film chronicles their tentative relationship. This is a great independent film. The plot is not typical and cliched and the music is superbly done. These are songs you want to hear again and again.

This is an alright movie to watch if you are bored and like adventure stories. There is a lot of CGI and the acting is pretty shallow. The plotline is also very cliched. However, some of the action is fun, and there is a lot of creativity in the creatures and environment (though this definitely didn't take place in 10,000 BC). I wouldn't particularly suggest buying this movie, however.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Coldplay delivers once again with their new album Viva la Vida. Their style is different than previous albums but retains the stunning instrumentals, heart-crushing lyrics, and awe-inspiring vocals. This is a must buy for both longtime fans and those new to Coldplay's music.

Pretty good movie about soldiers coming home from the Iraq war. Doesn't idolize them, and it doesn't mock them. The film just helps reveal some of the stresses associated with the current conflict in Iraq. Tommy Lee Jones does an excellent job as a soldier's father.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe are great actors. There is no way a film could be bad with those two. American Gangster is an enjoyable film. It has its slow parts, and I felt the best parts were given away in the trailer (but arent they always?), but overall it is worth seeing and having in your collection.

I enjoyed this movie despite some negative critic reviews. The leading up to the protaganist's downfall was really good. However, him shaving his head just looked stupid. If you like revenge films, probably a good buy.

Worth seeing once but not really necessary for your personal collection. I'd find it hard to watch this one through a second time. It had its amusing and touching moments but overall the story just isnt that compelling.

Great acting, great special effects, great directing. This is one excellent film. Well worth the buy! This is a WW2 classic.
