Call of Duty 3 is fun and has really good graphics; it’s just not the same though. Call of duty 1,2, and 4 were made by Infinity Ward and a different studio made 3 so it was made differently. It has a lot of nice game play enhancements that make things more fluid then the previous 2 games as well. The graphics are much better then the previous games. Your AI does get in the way a little bit unfortunately though. You can now throw grenades back at the enemy. This is a typical WWII style game though. The online death matches have some good points like being able to be a medic and heal your allies. Also, more fluid game play online. It does take awhile to get a match though so it makes it almost not worth playing online.
What's great about it: Game, Graphics
What's not so great: Just not the same, multiplayer

Army of Two looked a lot better then I feel it turned out. It looked to me like a more modern version of Gears of War. It is better in some cases for co-op, but the storyline is not quite as good. You have the ability to go back to back, which is a lot of fun. There are parachuting parts where one person controls the parachute and the other shoots the enemies. You can buy new weapons and upgrades for each weapon. This is a very fun thing to do in the game. You can even buy new masks as you go through the game. The agro system is pretty neat, if you are firing and your friend is not you start glowing red and all the enemies go after you and ignore your friend. This is good if you want to have someone sneak up behind the enemies to take them out from behind. There are a number of people you have to take out from behind due to their amount of body armor in the front. If someone gets injured bad enough they can feign death so the enemies think they are dead and focus their fire on the other person. This gives some time to heal; also if you actually go down, your buddy can come over and heal you. This does take awhile because you have to administer first aid. The nice thing though is the person you’re healing can shoot and you can drag him into a safer place. The game is kind of short but there is a little replay ability due to the weapon upgrades and the like. I love games you can play co-op, but there is length missing on this game.
What's great about it: Fun co-op game, lot’s to do
Learn more about TimeShift. (Flash demo) SynopsisDr. Aiden Krone is a former professor of Applied Physics at MIT, notorious for his unrivaled brilliance and obsession with Thermodynamics, Advanced Propulsion and Quantum Electrodynamics (QED). More than a decade later, Krone's program successfully developed the world's first time-traveling suit technology. However, as the program's equally secretive decision-makers demanded this technology be adapted for military applications, Krone's self-entitlement and anger grew. He desired a new existence where his scientific endeavors could be shaped without outside interference. The combination of Krone's mind and his suit technology gave him the ability to create and control another existence ~ an existence where a man of science could finally operate without restrictions, regardless of the effects on humanity. TimeShift is a lot of fun, but it is basically the same old FPS (First Person Shooter). The story is not really all that innovative or in depth. You have a suit that can effect time (slow, stop or reverse it). It's the Beta suit and another doctor stole the Alpha suit. So the game takes place during around WWII but all the weapons and everything are futuristic. The other doctor has changed time basically. There are little snippets of the past as you go through and the end makes you a little mad. Graphics are all right, but nothing to instant message your friends about. Storyline is all right, but nothing amazing and the length of the game is really short. This seems to be a common trend on FPS games recently. Online death matches are not very well done and there is no one playing so it is hard to find a game. Achievements are not bad except the fact that about half are used up on the impossible to find online death match games. The single player achievements are not that difficult to get, in fact you will probably get them all playing through the game even without paying attention. (I only played on medium, but it is set up to get all of the lower difficulty achievements, beat on hard and get medium and easy ones, so to play through once you could play on hard).
What's great about it: Being able to slow, stop, and reverse time
The class conscious murder mystery that earned seven Academy Award nominations in 2001, arrives on DVD in a package sure to please both fans of Gosford Park and it's highly revered director, Robert Altman. The film is presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen format with a Dolby Digital 5.1 English soundtrack. Both English and Spanish subtitles are available and in a movie populated with heavy accents and overlapping dialogue, it's a feature likely to be used. Two "Feature Commentaries" are included on the Special Features. Altman, production designer Stephen Altman and producer David Levy narrate the first commentary and screenwriter Julian Fellowes voices the second. Fourteen "Deleted Scenes" are included with optional commentary. Most cuts are short and judicious, but there are a few choice morsels that add further enlightenment to fans, most notably, a mention of McCordle's plans to write Elsie into his will. The obligatory "Cast & Filmmakers Filmographies," "Theatrical Trailer" and "Coming Attractions" are also included. The best bonus material comes in two featurettes and a Q&A. "The Making of Gosford Park" looks at Altman's unique directing approach for such a large ensemble cast and "The Authenticity of Gosford Park" introduces us to three octogenarian advisors--a former butler, cook and housemaid--Altman used on set to instruct the actor's in their roles. Following a screening of Gosford Park at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation guild members asked Altman, Fellowes, Levy, Bob Balaban, Kelly MacDonald, Helen Mirren, Jeremy Northam and Ryan Phillippe questions concerning the movie. The taped session is one of the most entertaining and informative features on this DVD. While it's unfortunate that the divine Maggie Smith didn't participate, Northam's dead-on impression of the dame is definitely one of the Q&A's highlights. On a whole, this is one comprehensive, entertaining disc.

Gosford Park is a Drama that hides trying to be a mystery. Being that it is not a mystery and that they really don't hide anything from anyone this is a bad movie in my book. A dinner party in London shows the servants side of things and the rich people’s side of things. That is all interesting, but with there being so many characters and the fact that they had to go out of their way to define each one makes the movie really long and boring. It is 137 minutes long and before anything real happens you are about an hour and a half in. If you enjoy dinner parties but don't get to go to them it might be something fun to have on in the background.

1408 is a movie that I would say is good... but not that good. It's a movie you kind of finish watching thinking "Why in the world did I watch this movie?" Then a couple days later you are glad you did. This is the only reason I recommend watching this movie. John Cusack plays a troubled person who writes reviews about haunted houses. He mysteriously gets wind of a room that everyone who stays in it dies. He has never seen a supernatural moment in any of his reviewing so he has to check out this "haunted" room. The hotel manager tries to persuade him not to but of course he does anyway. Thrills and mystery ensue. I say check it out, you may not like it, but you'll probably be glad you saw it.
What's great about it: Very suspenceful with some jumps
What's not so great: You end the movie wondering why you watched it

13 going on 30 is a movie about a girl who is 13, after a party she wishes she were older. When she wakes up the next day she is 30. She has a career as a magazine editor who has a boyfriend even though she still has the mentality of a 13 year old. It is a funny movie although it is somewhat of a "Chick flick". Guys, it is funny so although you may not want to get it yourself buying it for a significant other wouldn't hurt watching it together.
What's great about it: Sort of like Big with a female role
What's not so great: Sort of like Big with a female role
The remake of William Castle's Thirteen Ghosts comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, French, and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by the production designer and one of the effects creators, a documentary on each of the 12 ghosts, a music video, and trailers. No matter what one thinks of the film itself, this is a superb disc from Warner Bros.

13 Ghosts is a really good movie. When I first saw what it was about and that it was a remake from a movie that used 3D glasses. In fact if you wore them would make the movie scarier by letting you see the ghosts. I was pretty skeptical. They incorporate that aspect into this remake very well and the ghosts look pretty scary. Someone getting attacked by a ghost that you couldn't see because the other person wasn't wearing the special glasses was pretty neat. Great actors and great story, all in all this is a great movie.
What's great about it: Ghosts, action, and mystery
Roland Suso Richter's psychological thriller The I Inside stars Ryan Phillippe as a man who, as the film opens, becomes involved in a terrifying accident that leaves him unable to remember the last two years of his life. As if the protagonist being unable to recognize his wife (Piper Perabo), and learning that his brother (Robert Sean Leonard) has died, were not bad enough, dreams of a woman (Sarah Polley) he once loved come to him regularly. The hero must negotiate the terrain between fact and fiction in order to figure out what happened to his life.

The I Inside is not a good movie. The only reason I can see anyone seeing it is if you enjoy Ryan Phillippe. He is a good actor and he does a great job in this movie. The movie though was not all that great. It was like a less interesting version of Butterfly effect. Ryan plays someone who wakes up from an accident. He cannot remember the last 2 years of his life. He figures out he can go back and forth between 2 times when he was in the same hospital and he can actually change things that happen in the present. There is a lot of confusion which mostly clears itself out as he remembers what happens in between these two times. Sounds good, and I bet the book was great, but again, not very good.
Burr Steers' Igby Goes Down comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a Spanish soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track from Steers and lead actor Kieran Culkin, deleted scenes with optional director's commentary, a making-of featurette, and a still photo gallery. This is a solid release from MGM/UA.

Igby goes down is about a teenager who has some problems including a rich Mom and Brother and an insane Father. This movie is supposed to be off the vein of Catcher in the Rye. Unfortunately I think this falls short. The acting is not bad and picking Kieran Culkin was a good idea since all the Culkin brothers look the same and they could use his younger brother Rory to play Igby as a kid. Igby can't seem to stay in any school he always gets kicked out and goes to another. I have heard a lot of good things about this movie, yet I can't see why. Maybe had I seen it as a troubled teenager I may have liked it... I doubt it though.
What's great about it: Was there any? Yes, a few one liners.
What's not so great: Most of the movie, very boring and not at all as expected.

Lucky # Slevin was an extremely good movie. It had a lot of action and a lot to make you think. Slevin had a hard time, came to visit his friend and was mistaken for him. He ended up in a lot of trouble here and his friend nowhere to be found. There is a lot of confusing parts so you really need to pay attention through the movie. They do explain it, and it does make since when they do. Very good movie and well worth watching on HD.
What's great about it: A nice in depth movie
What's not so great: A lot of parts a little confusing.
