I don't understand the horses

I thought Michael Clayton was going to be a gamble. I didn't think I would like it, but I got it and I did. This is actually a really good movie. The movie starts from the end, jumps back to the beginning and proceeds back to the end. The one thing I don't get is the horses. You'll see what I mean when you see them. Michael Clayton is a clean up lawyer, or as he calls it a janitor. He has a lot of troubles to deal with as well as a huge conspiracy to try and cover up for his law firm. Events unravel which make some very entertaining watching. This movie is about 2 hours long, but it does go by rather quickly due to being very enthralled by the story.
What's great about it: Interesting storyline
What's not so great: A couple of slow parts, but few and far between

Very Disappointing

We Own the Night was probably one of the most disappointing movies I have seen in quite some time. The trailers sold it as a kind of action movie. Well, this movie is 2 hours long and maybe 5 minutes of it is action. The rest is seeing Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Walberg, and some various other actors crying about some thing or another. I understand with what happened the emotions, I mean, people die, people almost die, stress in relationships, stress in decisions, but really this movie should be seen as a drama instead of an action movie. If you like drama's you might like this, otherwise I say skip it. (Which it does call it a drama in the description up top, but watch the trailer and you will be fooled.)
What's great about it: ... Can't really thing of one... I guess the acting was alright.
What's not so great: The whole thing.

Great movie for the younger crowd

Underdog was a good cartoon and it translates great into a live action movie. The cast was great with excellent acting on top of that. Underdog is definitely a kid’s movie, but for nostalgia it's still good for adults. My favorite thing about the movie really is the type of dog. I own a beagle so when they picked a beagle for Underdog I had to see the movie. It really turned out to be a good movie. I certainly recommend this movie for anyone with kids, people who like beagles, or people who remember and like the underdog cartoon from their childhood.
What's great about it: A flying beagle! Great actors and superb acting.
What's not so great: Nothing I can think of.

Okay, but not great

Rescue Dawn has a lot of realism in it. There is great acting down by bale zahn and really the whole cast (forgot what the name of the actor playing Eugene was). The real problem with this movie is it is very slow moving. For a 2 hour movie it really has a lot of slow parts. The thing is though, although it was slow it didn't really drag on to much. It doesn't feel like 2 hours basically. I would recommend this to someone who really likes war movies, as long as you are not really looking for blood and guts or action. This is not an action packed movie at all.
What's great about it: Great scenery, great acting
What's not so great: Very slow moving

From director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg comes a thrilling battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. When their epic struggle comes to Earth, all that stands between the Decepticons and ultimate power is a clue held by young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Unaware that he is mankind's last chance for survival, Sam and Bumblebee, his robot disguised as a car, are in a heart-pounding race against an enemy unlike anything anyone has seen before.

This is a great movie with a lot going on. There are a few different sub plots that happen, they all kind of mesh into one in the end though so it works. Also there are a few times it strays from the original source, but there are a couple things to remember about transformers. Bumble Bee was a VW bug in the cartoon and a Chevy Camaro in this movie. Well VW did not want to license the bug out for the movie so they had to do something. Also, to say that it really stays from the cartoon, the cartoon was a 30 min add for the transformers toys. This is not a derogatory statement, but the truth. The toy came out before the show and the show only came out because the FCC changed the rules on making shows out of toys. Also, Bay has a certain level of artistic rights to change things being the director and all. If you were a Transformers "fan boy" would you rather have this movie with a couple things changed and a whole lot of action? Or would you rather not have a movie at all? Personally I liked the whole thing though. Very well done transforming scenes and a lot of action to be had. I highly recommend this movie to all.
What's great about it: Great movie with even greater special effects
What's not so great: Strays from original material, see more in review

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End was a great movie with in my opinion a bad ending. If you have seen the first two movies you need to watch this one to really finish things up for you. Although I won't spoil anything but there is much left unfinished. Depp is phenomenal as Captain Jack Sparrow and really fleshes things out even more. If you haven't seen any of the other movies I recommend at least watching the first.
What's great about it: Pirates
What's not so great: Loose ending

Shoot 'Em Up, it's in the title!

Shoot 'Em Up is probably one of the best "shoot 'em up" style movies I have seen. If you go into this movie not expecting a great, or even good plot and you like "shoot 'em up" movies then I fully expect you will enjoy this one. It has pretty much all the different things you would find in all different types of "shoot 'em up" movies. From a huge gun fight right in the beginning where he does something interesting with a carrot to the jumping out of an airplane and have a gunfight in mid air. There really was not a lull in the movie at all.
What's great about it: A lot of a "Shoot 'em up" style action
What's not so great: No solid plot, but when do you ever see one in a true "Shoot 'em up" movie?

PGR4 is a killer racing game. I bought this game at the same time as the race wheel by Microsoft (which I also reviewed and recommend checking out) and I'll tell you this combination is lethal. This game has a lot of different types of options for racing including an arcade mode where you simply progress through 10 different chapters of different kinds of racing. As well as a campaign with a sudo storyline where you raise through the ranks of other racers to try to be the best. There is online racing and the like as well. Graphics are great, controllers are realistic enough that you get the realism of a racing sim (eg. NASCAR or Gran Turismo) but the fun of a racing game. As you play you earn "Kudos" which is your money and you can spend it to buy new tracks, cars and clothing, as well as other random things. All in all a very good game, and if you like racing games a definite try for you.
Achievements on this game range from easy (sometimes you get 2 or three at once) to extremely hard (eg. Playing a multiplayer game you have to have 2 people cross the finish line backwards and still both beat at least one other computer player). Great game though.
What's great about it: Tons of cars (and bikes) and tons of tracks.
What's not so great: There are some seamingly impossible acheivments.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed Red Dwarf Series 7, but it was the worst of the bunch in my opinion. Red Dwarf is a hilarious British comedy. You won't be able to stop laughing through most of it. There are a couple of episodes that are a little boring, but if you look when it was made you'll see why. Red Dwarf was one of the longest running Series in England and that is saying a lot for them. The only real problem with this show is the fact that the "seasons" are so short. When a season is 24 episodes in America. Each "season" in Red Dwarf is only 6 - 8 episodes long. But this is still worth every penny. Red Dwarf had a lot of the atmospheres of Star Trek before them. For instance on Star Trek Voyager, being lost in space millions of years away from earth. Red Dwarf had it first. Also, the "Hard Light" hologram in Voyager (the doctor) was out after Rimmer was already a hard light hologram. Red Dwarf is definitely worth having in your DVD collection.
What's great about it: Red Dwarf Series 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 8
What's not so great: Red Dwarf Series 7

Mass Effect is a very nicely put together game. It is graphically great. It is a lot shorter then it seemed it would be, but a great replay value. As you talk you can change the course of the game. Everything is voice acted which is great because there is a lot of talking. As you play you can choice how to upgrade your teammates as well, this makes it even more different as time goes on. There are side quests you can play that make the game even more in depth. All in all Mass Effect is a great game. I highly recommend at least trying this game out.
What's great about it: In depth storyline that evolves as you talk.
What's not so great: A lot of bugs, but nothing disruptive (that I've seen).
