Columbia's DVD of The Craft is a devilishly delightful disk that contains a wickedly entertaining assortment of special features. The film, about four teenage girls and their foray into the realm of witchcraft and magic, stars Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, and Rachel True. The movie is presented on the DVD in a widescreen format that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.35:1. The English language soundtrack is in 5.1 Dolby Digital, and is so clear that a viewer can hear an eye of newt blink. The disc contains a witches' brew of special features, including a commentary track by director Andrew Fleming, deleted scenes with optional commentary by Fleming, and a making-of featurette that details the obstacles the film faced before going into production. Other special features include an original featurette summarizing the movie, trailers, and talent files about the film's stars and the director.

I liked this movie because it was different from all the witch movies I have ever seen. It was something new; witches going against each other; bringing aquatic animals out the water; a complete freak show. It was quite humorous too; some parts will just make you laugh even though they are not meant to be funny. I never knew a witch could go crazy (lol). This is a movie you can watch with your girls on a friday night and have some fun with some dark magic!

I thought this was such a great suspense movie. I was so intrigued by the plot of this movie. What I really liked about this movie was that it was a trick movie; it leaves you so freaked out at the end. Its all about a babysitter who starts getting calls from some freak that wants to kill her while she is babysitting some kids in a remote area where help is miles away. You will never want to babysit after you watch this movie. You will definitely love this movie though.

What I liked about this movie is that it was strictly to the point. It never leaves you in an unknown midst of curiosity. It is simply horror from minute to minute. Cannibalism to its sickest and human brutality at its worst. For those with a weak stomach this movie will be torture but for those who like it horrifically brutal you will definitely be overwhelmed by this movie. It is one of the best horror movies I have ever seen. When you go to bed you'll hear that chainsaw running. ;)
Universal has released the Ultimate Edition of The Mummy, but the original Collector's Edition DVD still stands on its own, a disc that other studios still should look to for inspiration. This disc has a fantastic picture; the golds of the desert sand and the dark blacks and grays of the Egyptian catacombs are perfect. The anamorphic transfer is no doubt part of the reason it looks so good. The disc is framed at its original aspect ratio of 2.35:1 (the same Collector's Edition disc is available with a pan-and-scan transfer). The 5.1 Dolby Digital English track takes advantage of the large action scenes and the smaller, dramatic moments. While the sound is centered, for the most part, in the front and front-side speakers, there are liberal uses of the surround speakers and the subwoofer. Dialogue is squarely in the middle and is never distorted. In addition, there is a 4.0 Surround track in French along with subtitles in English only. Universal rarely skimps on extras with the Collector's Edition and this disc is a perfect example. The "making of" documentary, with cast and crew interviews, focuses on the visual effects created by Industrial Light and Magic. At times it's a highly complex discussion of their work, maybe more than the layperson can fully grasp; nevertheless, it provides fascinating information. There is also a director/editor commentary track, six trailers from this and other Universal films, deleted scenes, an interesting section on Egypt (Egyptology 101), and DVD-ROM features.

I really like this movie because it deals with ancient egypt history; it is also set in egypt. I have always been intrigued by mummies and ancient egyptian afterlife beliefs. This movie dealt with both of these things. It also has treasure hungry adventures and the beautiful Rachel Weisz. Those who love horror mixed in with some ancient history will definitely love this movie.
What's great about it: Mummies, Ancient Egypt setting, Brendan Fraser

I first saw tremors when I was like 12 years old and I still love it. I'm a horror movie loving girl so this movie was definitely my cup of tea. It's all about this huge mutant carnivore worms that eat people; and get this they see by body heat. It's brilliant! I saw all the tremor movies and I just fell in love with them. I've watched them over 50 times because they are that great! You should definitely buy this movie because you'll never look a worms the same way again.

Everybody loves a movie that has vampires and werewolves; those who like horror movies just like me. This movie is all about the dominant species, therefore, you can conclude that the vampires and werewolves are at it both competing for that dominant position. I always loved vampire and werewolf movies. This movie was a real treat for me because I thought it was brilliant! I give props to the director because he has a great imagination; they did a great job on this movie. I recommend this movie to anybody who loves vampires and werewolves as much as I do; or those who like a little scare once in a while.
What's great about it: Vampires and werewolves= Super thriller

This movie is simply brilliant. Christian Bale plays his character Patrick bateman so well. He is such a great actor. In this movie you really get into the mind of the serial killer which I find intriguing. I was so into this movie that I thought it was actually real for a second. This movie is a great thriller to watch on a friday night! I seriously advice that you watch this movie because you will watch it over and over again like me.
Despite the fact that horror fans likely missed it during its "blink-and-you-miss-it" theatrical run, director Rob Schmidt's grim, throwback chiller Wrong Turn gets a commendable DVD release thanks to 20th Century Fox. Presented in both 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen and 1.33:1 pan-and-scan, the transfer of the film is virtually flawless. With solid blacks in the frequent night scenes and spot-on skin tones as the sweaty teens elude their inbred pursuers, the image is clean and free of virtually any and all distortion and grain. One of the aspects of Wrong Turn that makes it as effective as it is in providing scares is the sound, and the English Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track certainly doesn't hold back when it comes to surrounding the viewer with terror. As twigs snap in the distance and various piercing objects burrow into human flesh, viewers will no doubt cringe at the remarkably vivid soundscape of this brutal film. Though at first fans may be enticed by the apparent wealth of extra features included on this disc, upon closer inspection there are really only a few truly valuable and entertaining bonuses here. A commentary track featuring director Schmidt and stars Eliza Dushku and Desmond Harrington is indeed fun in parts, and it's obvious that the trio is having a great time revisiting the film, but there are also extended stretches of silence that really grind things to a halt. In addition to citing the aforementioned use of sound and their desire to recreate that childhood rush of fear that only horror films can provide, the only other real reason to listen is to hear about the varied and numerous injuries sustained by the cast and crew during filming. Likewise, many of the extra features offer little insight into the production at all, with "The Making of Wrong Turn," and "Eliza Dushku: A Babe in the Woods" both clocking in at under five minutes -- hardly enough time to truly delve into the film's many impressive effects. The two featurettes that do stand out, however, are "Fresh Meat: The Wounds of Wrong Turn" and the one on Stan Winston, the former offering a neat look at the film's effects and the latter offering a nice retrospective in Winston's own words. Deleted scenes offer a romantic interlude under a waterfall that was likely cut for pacing, an "alternate" view of a kill that doesn't seem to differ from the onscreen version at all, and dailies of Emmanuelle Chriqui getting a mouthful of barbed wire. Rounding things out is a series of fun poster concept designs and the impressive and intense trailer.

This movie is just great! It's sort of like the dawn of the dead meets hannibal. I just love this movie because it has a great plot. I love horror movies so I just loved this movie naturally. Those who love horror movies should definitely wath this movie; pop in the popcorn and have a scare! There's cannibalism and disgusting looking aliens-you will so love this.

I thought it was an interesting movie. I wasn't quite fond of how it was based on dog fighting because that's animal cruelty. However, I thought it was a good movie; it was something new to me to see something like this. I recommend this movie to those people who like to try new things and see new things. This movie is not for the faint of heart though so take caution because its pretty graphic.
