Should have been the Greatest Hits CD!

This is, in my opinion, Blink 182's best cd release of their whole musical career! The whole album is full of upbeat pop-punk songs that have come to be the trademark of this juvenile band. A great CD!

A Good collection, but not the best...

Being a big Blink fan, I just had to get this cd; though I already have the majority of the songs on previously released cds. Everyone is trashing this CD, but if you aren't a Blink fan, of course you won't like it! D-uh! This cd contains all of their radio hits along with what I can only guess were some of their personal favorites. The beginning of the album isn't exactly the best, but the whole cd will grow on you eventually. Good cd, for Blink-182 anyway.
What's great about it: Track 7 to 16
What's not so great: Another Girl, Another Planet

Funny Movie
on October 26, 2007

Not being a fan of Jon Heder or any of his previous excuses for movies, I was a little skeptical about getting this one. I had heard that it was good, so I went ahead and picked it up; I'm actually glad I did! This was a pretty funny movie with an actual plot involved! Billy Bob Thornton plays the sleeze-bag, as usual, who teaches a class of losers to try to improve and take control of their lives. There are many twists and turns that keep wondering how they are going to best each other next! Good movie, worth buying!
What's not so great: Jon Heder

Excellent Game-Based Movie!

This is an awesome movie! It makes you jump all the while keeping you totally interested in the slowly but surely building plot. After a bit of a corny prelude to how their daughter is having nightmares about "Silent HILL, SILENT HILL", this movie picks up and doesn't slow down all the way to the explosive ending scene. Great movie, more than worth a couple good watches! I highly recommend it!
What's great about it: Great Acting, Decent Run of the Game, Beautiful Visuals
What's not so great: "Silent HILL, SILENT HILL"

A Decent Romantic Comedy

Though this wasn't the best movie, it does have its' charms. While I wouldn't suggest it as a family decent movie for the simple fact of the immoral based storyline, it would be an acceptable watch for an aspiring couple.

A Fantasically Mediocre Film
on October 26, 2007

My girlfriend's little brother rented "Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer" this weekend and we all watched it. Though it wasn't a bad movie, I would suggest renting it over buying it; I can't see it having a very high replay value. The graphics are pretty well done and the acting isn't all that bad, but it is smeared strongly with that comic-cheese that we see so often in "graphic novel" to film, movies. A good movie for the kids, but not much past that I suppose.
What's great about it: Decent Cast, Neat Effects, Family Friendly
What's not so great: VERY Predictable

A Work of ART!

This is, in my opinion, the feel good cd of the year! This album has so much emotion to it, I just can't stop listening! None of the songs really resemble anything that Tom Delong has previously recorded, but in this case, that is really a good thing! The only thing that fits this band more perfectly than the digital effects, punchy drums and happy guitar/bass riffs would have to be Tom Delong's ever present, ever distinctive talent to express his thoughts and feeling in melodic songs!!! Bravo Tom, Bravo...
What's great about it: Powerful CD filled with emotionally amazing songs!

A poorly done remake of Blink-182
on October 23, 2007

This is the debut album for Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker's latest creation. This band is not nearly as good as their previous BLINK-182, but it has a couple of sure-fire hits. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this album, but it's not all bad. Check it out if you want some straight forward punk action with a hint of slow paced dance-techno.
What's great about it: Lycanthrope, Baby Come On, When Your Heart Stops Beating, Little Death, Make You Smile, Chapter 13?
What's not so great: 155, Lillian, Cliffdiving, Interlude, Weatherman, No, It Isn't, Chapter 13?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Good Action/Suspense Movie!

This was a pretty good movie, starts off a little slow, but you soon realize that it is just setting up the roller-coaster that is the rest of the feature! A good flick with an ending that you won't really see coming. I would recommend it.
What's great about it: Great Cast, Decent, Believable Plot
What's not so great: Maria Bello... =( You'll see...

Walter Becker directs the campus comedy National Lampoon's Van Wilder, which comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. The humorous supplemental materials include deleted scenes, outtakes, a featurette that originally appeared on Comedy Central, trailers, television promotional materials, a look at the music in the movie, and production notes. The other notable feature of this disc is that it contains an unrated version of the film that contains footage that was trimmed in order to achieve an "R" rating from the ratings board. This is a strong disc from Artisan.

The Best of the National Lampoon Movies!
on October 23, 2007
Posted by: Volearix
from Zionsville, IN
This is the only National Lampoon movie that I have actually found to hold a real plot and maintain a certain level of its' own dignity. Ryan Reynolds plays Van Wilder, the hero of the college who refuses to let himself graduate, who is forced to find a way to pay for his own way through school when his wealthy father "cuts him off". He eventually meets up with a newspaper columnist named Gwen (Tara Reid) and falls head over heals for her and her goal for him to succeed... In my opinion this is a great movie and the only good National Lampoon movie to this date.
What's great about it: Great Movie
What's not so great: Part of the National Lampoon's Collection

how to hook up my pc to play files on my media player through the reciever?

go to any store that sells component to 1/8 inch or 1/32 inch (whatever your computer sound hookup uses). In other words a red/white to 1/8 inch hookup.
-
Take the red/white part and hook it into any slot of your receiver (doesn't matter if it is labeled as DVD/VCR/CD/V-AUX, they'll all work), then hook the other end into your PC. When the corosponding channel is selected on your receiver, and the music is selected on your PC, the audio should be routed through your surround sound system.
