Based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, 300 takes over the screen like an invading horde. With all the gushing blood of a horror movie and the scope of a classic epic, the second film from Zack Snyder (who helmed the 2004 remake of DAWN OF THE DEAD) is an impressive visual spectacle. Director Zack Snyder Star Gerard Butler, Tom Wisdom, Andrew Pleavin, Vincent Regan, Lena Headey, David Wenham, Special Features Widescreen Audio Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround - English, French, Spanish Subtitles - English, French, Spanish Additional Material Audio Commentary - Zack Snyder - Director; Kurt - Writer; Larry Fong - Director of Photography Trailer Runtime 116 minutes Year of 2007.

When America's number-one NASCAR speed-demon is issued a direct challenge from a gay, French Formula One racer with a hunger for the top spot and a mean talent for tight-cornering, the race is on to become the number one-man in all of NASCAR in a full-throttle comedy starring Will Ferrell and directed by Anchorman cohort Adam McKay. Ricky Bobby (Ferrell) is a national hero with a "smokin' hot" trophy wife, pair of abusively precocious sons, and an endless line of endorsement deals filling his mansion with toys and his driveway with sports cars and Hummers. His racing partner and lifelong friend, Cal Naughton, Jr. (John C. Reilly), never fails to provide him with a hand on the racetrack, frequently performing their trademark "slingshot" maneuver to shoot Ricky into first place, leaving Cal in second. While the public loves these buddies (popularly known by the meaningless childhood nicknames they find so exceedingly cool: "Shake and Bake"), a wedge comes between the two, as Ricky Bobby's longstanding winning-streak is broken by flamboyant French Formula One driver Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen), robbing Ricky of everything in an instant as the trauma leaves him unable to drive. Ricky's wife takes his fortunes while Cal takes his wife, and now he's back with his mother (Jane Lynch) and long-estranged father (Gary Cole). Things look bad for Ricky, but his father was once a racecar driver himself, and now with the help of a training montage, a live cougar, and the courage to drive without his gleaming-white Wonder Bread endorsement, Ricky might be ready to face the track again. Sony Pictures' unrated, widescreen DVD release includes many scenes not originally seen in the theatrical version interspersed into the film.

In the first season of this medical drama, a group of surgical interns, including Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh), Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl), George O'Malley (T. R. Knight) and Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), begin working at Seattle Grace Hospital. On the night prior to her first day, Meredith goes to a local bar and sleeps with a man she never expects to see again. The man turns out to be neurosurgeon Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), one of her new bosses. Izzie accuses Meredith of sleeping with her boss to get ahead, and as the season progresses, a complicated romance develops between Meredith and Derek.

The second chapter in the "Bourne Trilogy," based on Robert Ludlum's best-selling espionage novels, reaches the screen in this sequel to the 2002 thriller The Bourne Identity. Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) has abandoned his life as a CIA assassin and has been traveling beneath the agency's radar, eventually reconnecting with Marie Kreutz (Franka Potente), the woman he loves. But Bourne is haunted by vivid dreams and troubling memories of his days as a killer, and he's not certain how much really happened and how much is a product of his imagination. When Bourne is led out of hiding by circumstances beyond his control, he must reconcile his past and present as he struggles to keep Marie out of harm's way and foil an international incident with dangerous consequences. The Bourne Supremacy also features Joan Allen as one of Webb's superiors, while Julia Stiles and Brian Cox reprise their roles as intelligence agents from the first film.

Doug Liman's box-office hit The Bourne Identity gets a new DVD release to coincide with the theatrical release of the film's sequel, The Bourne Supremacy. This "Explosive Extended Edition" of the film offers a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. English, French, and Spanish soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, French, and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a new beginning and ending for the film, deleted scenes, a featurette about choreographing a fight scene, a featurette about how much the film resembles actual spy work, a short documentary on amnesia, and a profile of Robert Ludlum -- the author who created these characters. This is a solid release from Universal, who were kind enough to throw in a free ticket to see The Bourne Supremacy with all purchases of this disc.
