HUGE TV Great Picture, Tons of Options, Expensive

Several reviews for this LED TV so I will keep it short and to the point.
Its much much bigger once its in your living room! Its huge I was surprised how giant it really is. This is a replacement of a 65" Sharp TV that was a lemon and they upgraded me to this one for free, which I really appreciated but Sharp Customer Service is really terrible in every contact I had with them it was awful.
This TV has a very cheap remote and the same old confusing menu structure Sharp has been using for 5+ years, its annoying to click and dig and click some more to find settings that are often buried deep in some unrelated Menu.
The picture quality is good once you wade the the layers of menus to find the option you want. Not to dwell, but Sharp seriously needs to create a new interface that isnt so frustrating.
I also found the HDMI Ports to be annoyingly fussy. I couldnt get my existing cable box to work on any HDMI port with the same cable I had been using. Same with the Roku stick - I dont know why Sharp HDMI ports are such a pain I think it has something to do with auto sensing or signal timing (?)
So I tried 3 other cables and finally the cable box would work, so did the Blue Ray Player, but no the Roku. I gave up.
There were also a few issues connecting my MacBook with HDMI to this TV. It seems once again like there's a problem with the HDMI Ports sensing devices correctly.
But once I got past all of the that, the built in Apps are nice and very fast the Netflix app worked great.
All in all, I think this TV is overpriced even though it is 70", I would have went with another brand after all the problems I had with their 65" if the best buy exchange policy wasn't so stingy.
Internet content most enjoyed: Netflix, Hulu +
What's great about it: Very Clear Bright Picture, Fast Netflix App, Its Huge!
What's not so great: Remote is cheap, HDMI Ports are Fussy, Too many old style Menus
I would recommend this to a friend!

Upgraded from a Sharp 52" LED 3 years old that had no problems of any kind. It was a QUATTRON higher end than this AQUOS.
After using this TV for a few days, I like the 65" much better. But too bad Sharp went so cheap on the remote, sound, and just 3 HDMI Ports not to mention no manual or documentation of any kind - weird.
The free Roku stick is cool and I may finally ditch cable. But there was no remote for it so that is weird too.
Sharp picture quality is the best, and I'm very pleased Best Buy priced match this with A**zon.
What's great about it: Big Screen, Easy Setup, Very Clear Vibrant Picture
What's not so great: Remote is cheap, No Manual, 3 HDMI Ports
I would recommend this to a friend!

Phone size:Just right
By far the best phone I've ever owned.
The screen is amazing and virtually no bezel on the sides. The battery lasts forever and it charges in less than 2 hours.
It's amazingly fast with mult Apps running.
Sounds like an LG ad lol but I don't want to upgrade from this phone.
I have the tmobile version and the service is awesome too.
What's great about it: Super HD Screen, Huge Battery, Super Fast
What's not so great: Nothing

Homerun Tablet LG

After 6 yes 6 defective Google Nexus 7 tablets, I gave up on them (Asus) and really pleased I did! This G Pad is better in every way.
The HD screen is awesome bright and clear as my retina ipad. I wear glasses so even at magnification no pixels are viewable. Its got a really nice aluminum back thats very light and easy to hold in one hand. I tested the ipad mini but its 4x3 ratio is too wide in my view.
One thing review sites have not mentioned about the G Pad is how blazing fast it charges the huge battery! Just upgraded to the LG G2 phone a few weeks ago and ive been so impressed with it over my old sam note2 that I knew their tablet would be awesome.
Setting up qpair with the phone via bluetooth (works with any android phone) was a bit tricky but it works petfectly. I get texts from my phone on the tablet and respond to them as normal same for phone calls! Very Cool!
It was easy to setup but the tablet required an update to the qpair app out of the box, so the process failed the first time, but the 2nd time no problem.
I also just connected the tablet to my 60" TV with an hdmi slim port adapter and it looks perfect clear and full HD 1080p! I cant use the new wiress miracast because my Sharp TV doesnt support it. With a bluetooth apple mouse connected, its just like using a laptop.
One thing, the tablet shipped with a clear screen protector. I noticed the screen keyboard wasnt 100% responsive, so i took it off and it instantly made typing and everything on the screen very accurate, fyi.
Everyone wants the new ipad i guess, but im over it and really dislike ios7.
I need to attach/upload documents through a web page and cant on the ipad but no problem with Android.
Last point on the G Pad - it does have GPS built in without using wifi and i tested it today and it worked perfectly. This was the source of many many problems with the google nexus 7 tablet, had a great screen and lower price but ugh, not worth the trouble in my view!
What's great about it: HD Screen, Battery, Light Weight, QPair
What's not so great: Gets a bit warm on the back
I would recommend this to a friend!

Less than perfect software
on January 5, 2012
Posted by: LaptopGuy
from Long Beach, CA
I was looking to remove one of my cable boxes and record HD over the air, or from the cable coax connected to this USB Tuner.
Using a just bought Win7 i5 8gb laptop, the initial install was easy and I then updated the drivers as recommended.
The software takes forever to "search" for channels on the antenna or with the cable coax. Sometimes the program just "freezes" and appears to be running in task manager but it takes a Win7 reboot to get it to respond.
Emailed tech support - their "canned answer" to why channels on my tv's tuner are viewable but not on the WinTv was "Re-install". I was told that over and over.
I ended up using the S-video output and getting the cable box back which is not at all what i wanted because I cant record in 1080i HD with svideo.
If I had a large powerful antenna, it might be worth the $$.
But the software is a nightmare. I tried using MS Media and it worked better but still couldnt find several channels that my Dynex TV found easily.
What's great about it: USB and HD Recording in 1080i
What's not so great: Everything else. Especially the software.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome DVD Upconverter/Recorder
on December 25, 2008

Amazing Toshiba can offer this high-quality DVD Recorder for such a low price. All DVD Players (upconverting) are not created equal, I have tried Samsung, Sony, LG...None compares to this Toshiba.
If you have an HD 1080p or 1080i TV, take my advice and buy this DVD player. The image from standard DVD's is awesome, it must have a very powerful graphics rendering chip inside, its immediately noticeable on screen.
I had a high-end Panasonic DVD Recorder for years that worked great, but i wanted the HDMI/upconvert feature. And the Panasonic is wayyyyy overpriced, even though it has a better recording interface.
Not a better value out there in DVD Players, and it records!!
Thanks BestBuy! - Maybe you could train your Sales staff to recommend this unit instead of pushing everyone to the samsung or panasonic.
What's great about it: Amazing 1080p Picture Quality on all DVDs, Easy DVD Recording
What's not so great: Takes a while to Open the disc tray
I would recommend this to a friend!
