Amazing, thousand times better than the first verison. Space battles aren't great, the foot soldier piece is the heart of the game. The addition of Jedi's is fantastic, and special classes act as a great reward for good playing, but the jedi's are very unbalanced. Online play is by far the best feature, hours of enjoyement to be had, relatively deep game when you include all the classes and arenas. For 20 bucks this is a must purchase for the PS2. now lets hope they bring this to the next-gen consoles soon, Battlefront 3 anyone?...
They may look cute, but there's nothing nice about the characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This fighting frenzy will have you inflicting painful KO's on familiar opponents you thought were your friends. Take your frustrations out on Link, Mario and other characters from throughout the gaming world. Shoot spaceships out of the sky in the Lylat System from the Star Fox games and deal out killer blows in Rumble Falls based on the look and feel of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat.Hit opponent after opponent to build up your damage meter, then knock your enemies clear off the screen. Rely on weapons that are silly but very effective, such as banana peels, pitfalls, gooey bombs and many more. Hurl old-school crates and barrels or select from Assist Trophies and Poke Balls to strike fear in the hearts of your foes. Combine Standard, Strong and Smash attacks to bash your way to victory. There are so many ways to smash, you'll get lost in the melees for hours on end.

Great game, not for the casual gamer, there's more nuances hidden below the surface for teh control scheme. Can be great fun but only if you put in the effort to get experienced. At times the action is way too fast against the AI, with items dropping in so fast that rounds will aslt 7 seconds and you'll win not understanding why. Multiplayer local (not online) is gerat fun, even for button mashers its a good time, but online slows down the action frequently. A single slow connection accross four systems linked online will slow them alll down to match, characters float around the screen in super slo mo and a lot of the fun is lost when this happens. All in alll good game, best when played at parties!
What's great about it: Tons of fun, tons of unlockables!
What's not so great: Strange AI, online connection stutters
