Not bad

I recommend this game, but it doesn't compare to NFSU2 or NFSMW. The cars are sweet (new Lancer EVO, Challanger concept, the old Charger R/T, Porsche Carrera GT, and many more). However, this game came out right around the same time that Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift did. I think that was the inspiration for some of the mountain drift & race events. So it seems like EA got carried away with the drift-style controls. It seems like almost everytime you make a turn, you're drifting, which is not always a good thing.
.
The Autosculpt feature was a new invention in this release which was a cool idea, but I only used it for muslcecar hoods, and (occasionally) exhaust tips and wheels. Otherwise, the autosculpt feature was somewhat dissapointing.
.
I found the menus to be especially annoying too. When you select one thing, take a look at it and go back, it puts you back at the original spot in the menu, not where you left off. So when you're looking through 100+ wheels, having to remember where you were in the list, and scrolling through all that again can be painful.
.
There are a couple races in the challenge series that are REALLY tough and to collect all the rewards cars, you actually have to lose the game (google it to find out how to do this) which I thought was a weird concept. This release is 10x better than ProStreet, so buy this one (or borrow it, because your buddy won't be using it), beat it once, then go back to Most Wanted.
What's great about it: Sweet cars, nice customization options
What's not so great: Steering is too loose, menu controls are dumb
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fun, but repetative

Great graphics, and the cars are fun to drive. However, you're basically on the same 5 or 6 tracks for all 50 or so races and each vehicle only has 3 preset paint jobs to choose from. It'd be nice to customize the vehicles yourself. Gameplay is fun, but sometimes if you rear-end someone, they slam on their brakes and you can't get around, or if you get locked up with another car or two, everyone zooms by you. However, on the other hand, you can be in last place up until half way through the last lap and still win the race. Nice that this game comes with the 80Gb PS3 hardware, but I'm not sure I'd pay $60 for it...if you don't already have it, wait to buy this one til it's down around $30, but do buy it.
What's great about it: Good graphics, cool explosions
What's not so great: Repetative courses, not enough customization
