So far I've only played the offline multiplayer and the co-op modes since where I'm at the internet isn't good enough for online gaming, but here's what I've noticed.
I love the co-op mode especially the missions that are throwbacks to MW1 like the Chernobyl mission "All Ghillied Up" which is now a two player mission against enemy snipers and foot patrols. I really love the AI, the enemies move, seek cover and relocate according to what you do. I love the variety of weapons and the "Bling" perk, I wanted to be able to attach two mods to a weapon since I first played MW1, and the ability to customize your kill streak rewards was an unexpected bonus.
The only things I found I didn't like are more of an annoyance than a game killer. Like being able to carry only one piece of equipment(i.e. frag, Semtex, claymore, etc). I like the original in that you could carry two claymores and a frag, or three frags; like I said an annoyance.
Overall I love the game, I can't wait to get back to the states and play online, I know I'm going to need another tv if my family ever wants to watch anything again.
What's great about it: just about everything
What's not so great: minor things
I would recommend this to a friend!

We all know PS3 has set a new benchmark for graphics, and we all know that COD in general is one of the best shooter series out there. We also know that even at $60.00 this game is seriously under-priced for the work that went into it.
My favorite feature is the multiplayer. The experience points, the unlockables; it all just works. Being able to customize your weapons, and add multiple attributes was a stroke of genius. If you have a PS3 but don't have this game- get it, and play it as much as possible. If you don't have a PS3- get one, and then get this game so you can play it as much as possible.
If Sony never made another PS3 title is wouldn't phase me a bit. COD 4 is the game of the year, decade, century, millenium, whatever you want- it's that good!
What's great about it: everything
What's not so great: nothing

PS3 online gameplay...

Hello, People are telling me that the PS3 has FREE online game play unlike Xbox Live which makes you pay and I want to know if that is true. I am going to buy a PS3 for Christmas and I've never used online game play before(On my own consoles..I have before on friends consoles). I want to know if I have to use some wire with my computer to play online or if I just play right away.
PS3 is completely free to play online, however if you plan to get add-ons to your games from the Sony store those cost extra. You only need a highspeed internet connection to play. The PS3 has a ethernet port for hardwire and built in wireless capability if you run a home network. Hope that helps.
