Great icemaker for great price

My wife has an iron deficiency and craves ice. She chomps on it all the time and our refrigerator just can't spit it out fast enough. We bought an ice crusher to ease the load on our refrigerator, but that didn't help us get more ice. I bought a different one from Best Buy, but it was DOA and had to be returned. Got this one and it looks really cool. I was worried that it would be cheesy, but it isn't. It looks like a very quality Coca-Cola labeled product. The ice it generates is probably just like any of the other options. My wife loves the small cubes, because with the whole in the middle, she can easily crunch the small cubes and eat the ice without even crushing it. It spits out plenty of ice to keep up with her demand, so now finally the rest of our family can have ice for a change. This version is smaller than the other one we bought, which is great. But it looks very nice and adds some coolness to the kitchen. The bottle opener on the side really looks cool too.

Was not a good solution for me...

I was able to get it to work after searching for issues that others experienced. I had to reboot my router, laptop and television, then it would connect if I went to YouTube, but not through the Chrome Browser. Once I got that working, I was streaming video and the audio didn't sync with the video well at all. At a lower resolution, I could get things to work, but no one wants a low resolution plastered across a huge HDTV. I even have 50Mbps bandwidth at home and a Netgear AC router that has great performance. I also didn't like that the AC adapter was required.
I had hoped to use this as a way to easily display my laptop screen over HDMI to a TV or monitor while on the road for work, but it just isn't a good solution for that.
At least Best Buy has a great return policy, so I could get my money back. It is worth at least trying it out to see if the stars align for you, just don't be surprised if it takes 20-30 minutes to get working and then you aren't satisfied with the performance.
What's great about it: Can display either a web browser or entire screen onto TV
What's not so great: Requires AC adapter, had bandwidth issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing ultrabook

I purchased two of these prior to the fix being released for the Yellow issue. I have applied the fix and that has helped some. The yellow still isn't right, but it is quite a bit better. Not really a deal breaker, as everything else about the laptop is amazing. We purchased two of these for what one FruitBook pro would have cost with the same specs. It boots to the login in less than 10 seconds. The screen resolution is amazing, but I have found that using it for work I need to lower it to 1920x1080 to get some applications to work. That's still a ridiculous resolution for a 13" screen.

Hands down best computer speakers anywhere

I bought a set of these speakers almost 6 years ago. They still sound great today, so much so that when they went on sale I snapped up another set. I'm glad I did, because I hooked it up to a new HDTV to use until I got my new sound system. Once I put in the new system, though, I was thoroughly disappointed in it and returned it because these Klipsch speakers just blew it away. The bass is incredible and these speakers are flat out amazing. I play all my music through my computer and wouldn't settle for another set after having these.
What's great about it: Awesome Bass, crisp sound, low price
What's not so great: Absolutely nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

Are we eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 8.1?
If so, is it just a simple download?
It comes with 8.1, not 8.0. There is no upgrade you would need to do.

General Windows question
I previously asked if this machine gets a free Windows upgrade to 8.1 and the answer was 'yes'. Thanks for the response. My next question is around Windows upgrades in general.
I have a PC running Vista and it sucks, but I need to spend a couple hundred for an upgrade. I also have an iPad and an iPhone and I get OS upgrades all the time for free. Will Windows also offer free upgrades if I buy this machine (ie, 8.2, 8.3, 9.1, etc) or are they still running with the old model where you have to pay?

First, it comes with 8.1, so there is no "upgrade" to 8.1 that you will be doing on this laptop. To answer your specific question, though, Microsoft will usually offer Service Packs for free, but new versions are paid. Microsoft will not likely be offering any upgrades to 9 for free.

Wifi issues
Do you guarantee this device has no wifi issues?
When I purchased two of these I applied the latest drivers for Wifi and everything worked just fine. Have had no Wifi issues after the update.

Which version of Windows does this come with? 8.1 or 8.1 Pro
This comes with just 8.1, not 8.1 Pro. However, it is easy to apply an 8.1 Pro key after the fact.

Is it possible to get this computer pre-installed with Windows 8.1 Enterprise (not Standard)? I need to connect this computer to a corporate domain.
It seems like there is no direct way to simply upgrade the OEM Windows version to the Enterprise version by adding the appropriate volume license key.
I ran into the same situation, but I just applied the 8.1 Pro key and that worked fine. You don't need Enterprise to connect to a domain, Pro will work fine.
