Mario Cart is what was played 90% of the time on my N64, and about 50% of the time on my Gamecube. This Wii version will probably, get the same amount of play as my old N64 version. The wheel does add a nice "Wii" component to the game. But I was finding myself a bit annoyed at holding the wheel, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. My 9 and 5 year old seem to have already.
What's great about it: Excellent addition to the Mario Cart family
What's not so great: action of holding steering wheel can ve annoying
