It states all over the box that it's great for hard wood and rugs - 'all terrain'. What is not on the box is that you have to buy the attachments seperately for hard wood floors.
I will never buy a Hoover product again. Wrote to the company and some middle man public relations company sends me a cut and paste reply. Nothing from the company.
