Live free (from reality)

This movie is good if you just want to put it in, sit back, and watch explosions. Just don't try to look at it objectively or realisticly. The Semi-truck scene towards the end is especially ridiculous. And did anyone else notice that after that long drawn out scene, Willis turns to see the "bad guys" just around the block!?!? Ah well, overall the movie is an ok 'guys night' movie, but wouldn't be my first choice.
What's great about it: Good action sequences at times, SOME witty dialogue
What's not so great: Bad guy is a GEEK, totally unrealistic, Yippie Ka-yea.... (still waiting)....
I would recommend this to a friend!

SynopsisAs Optimus Prime scanned the radar, he noticed something unusual. A group of large flying objects were making their way toward the Autobots' headquarters at breakneck speed. Could this be the evil Decepticons? Rumors had been surfacing all week about a possible attack, and what better way than to take the Autobots by surprise? With the push of a button, the Autobots were called to arms and moved into their battle positions. The war for Earth was about to start. Given the choice, which side would you fight for?Transformers: The Game puts this decision in your hands by allowing you to protect or destroy the Earth as either the Autobots or the Decepticons. Choose from an army of characters from the Transformers universe and use their strengths and abilities to your advantage. Battle in a completely interactive environment, use any object you see as a weapon and destroy everything else in sight. Take on your enemies in head-to-head combat, using your character's unique fighting techniques and special moves. Or, engage in long-distance battles where your ability to transform will prove essential. The battle for Earth has begun: is it in your heart to save it or are you set on utter destruction?

Feeding off the movie's success
on November 29, 2007

This game seems rushed out to feed off the movie's buzz. The idea is there, but the execution is way off. It is almost impossible to be facing the right direction during fights, and the action scenes are very choppy. The ability to change from robot to car and so forth is pretty cool, but not cool enough to compensate for the games shortcommings. The "action zone" is a pointless and stupid feature where you HAVE to stay within a certain radius of the fight scenes, or you fail the mission. Big problem is, sometimes you get hit or exploded out of the zone, and can't get back in time. Very disappointing game because of the potential it had.
What's great about it: Can change from robot to vehicle with a touch of the button, can play as Autobots or Decepticons
What's not so great: Camera angles horribly annoying, choppy gameplay, "ACTION ZONE"
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better to rent it than buy it

I got this game in my "Wii package deal", where I had to choose 3 games on the spot. I regret buying it. It was fun for the first few days, but now I never touch it... I actually gave it away to my brother in law, and I don't even think he plays it. The tournament mode is cool because you have different challenges, and there are a TON of selections of lures. But, this game was disappointing because there are AT MOST 2 kinds of fish per area, and the reel in function is a joke. You basically just hold down on the 'A' button the whole time, and there are fish (like the rainbow trout) that seem to almost always throw the hook, no matter what you do. Also, when it comes to netting the bigger fish the screen that comes up was very confusing, and there are NO instructions on how to do it in the manual. I had to go online to find out and after that it was simple enough, but the lack of instructions was frustrating. I would rent this game for a weekend just to see how you like it, and by the time it is due, you will most likely be ready to return it.
What's great about it: Lots of choices in lures, tournament fishing mode is decent
What's not so great: Poor use of the Wii remote, not much fish variety per area, gets old fast
