Beyond that, commentary and deleted scenes are provided for two episodes: the pilot, which has comments from director David Nutter as well as the show's executive producers, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar; and "Metamorphosis," which is analyzed by Nutter and Gough. Rounding out the disc are a complement of promotional ads, an "interactive" look at the town of Smallville, a DVD-ROM link for online bonus access, and a storyboard-to-screen analysis of the pilot episode.
