Very realistic game...it's only downfall!

First off, this is definitely a game that made me skeptical. I wondered if being very realistic would make it very boring. It didn't. If anything, it just made it a very large challenge. Road To The Show is the only mode i've been playing lately, and i'm going to switch to Season soon, but this game doesn't disappoint very much so far. The baserunning is something you need to get used to before you can have fun, that kinda makes it a downer. but if you master that, you can become a good player at this game. but also, the fact that you need perfectly solid contact on a hit before you can get a good hit is another part of the realism it advertises. The fielding is pretty simple. Basically, all you need to do is master baserunning and become an average slugger, and this game will be well worth the 60 bucks.
What's great about it: Very realistic, amazing graphics, lots of customization
What's not so great: Sometimes it gets TOO realistic, and backfires upon itself. (E.G. having around 6 errors in a double-A ballgame.)

A knockout game from Sucker Punch.

This game knocked me straight out. Playing as a man with electricity at the palm of his hand...Like playing as Zeus. You control what your character is like, what he can do, what he climbs, what he kills, punches, looks like, loves to do...Me and my friend played this from the second i brought it home to 5AM. We still didn't finish the game. We have though, and are on our second run. The hundreds of things i still have to do, trophies, difficulties, powers, karma decisions, etc etc..,.make me wanna play this dusk till dawn. I highly reccomend this game if you own a ps3.
What's great about it: Fun storyline, great presentation, amazing graphics, trophies, replayable
What's not so great: Sometimes gets repetetive, or irritating.

GREAT MOVIE!

This movie is just perfect. Clint Eastwood acts and directs it, there is some racist humor all over the place (which is good in some cases) i like it because he is very racist all the time, but still has revelations about being racist throughout the movie. If you haven't seen this yet, i bet you still haven't seen Eastwood at his best.
What's great about it: Clint Eastwood's In it...Great morals, amazing actors, great storyline, fun humor.
What's not so great: None As far as i can tell

This game is amazing, and will take you (If you don't play 24-7) about a year to actually finish every quest you can find. It's also fun, after you're done, to re-take the game to see how you would have fared with an archer instead of a wizard.
What's great about it: Awesome graphics, plenty of quests, hunrdreds of spells, customization, creating enchanted weapons, many extras
What's not so great: Sometimes gets boring, or you get stuck very easily.

This game was awesome when i got it for christmas. I couldn't stop playing it. But when i found out that more than 50% of the people that play online use the overpowered MP40, i kinda drifted away from it. But it's, overall, a very solid game.
What's great about it: Great graphics, fun gun selection, Zombies mini games.
What's not so great: Lots of unfair/lagginess online, Almost every issue has to do with online.

Amazing game!

This game was super fun to play. I've only rented it, but i am definitely gonna buy it when it's down to 24.99 or 19.99. Jumping across rooftops, sliding down poles, going across ziplines...it's like a mix of Spider-Man and The Matrix! It also has a great storyline to it. But the only thing i don't like is how unexpected the solution to a puzzle in this game is. Like seeing a balcony a long distance away, die 6 times in the process of getting to it, then see there isn't even a door there, but it's on the ground instead. And not being able to simply spawn with a spare weapon is kind of annoying too when you need to deal with M249 SAW wielding SWAT teams...
What's great about it: Addictive, new and exciting gameplay, Matrix feel to it
What's not so great: Lack of weapons, sometimes extremely difficult.

I bought this game expecting a brilliant game with amazing graphics, fun missions, and murderous gameplay to make some bodies fly. GTA IV doesn't disappoint.
What's great about it: Super addictive, lots of extras and missions, variety of guns and things to do
What's not so great: Boring after your addiction is over, sometimes missions are super super hard.

Amazing racing game

This game is a very fun racing game that very much brings up the classic Need For Speed feeling. At first, you may crash into walls over and over, and think "WHY did i buy this game? I've lost 10 races already!" But when you're pulling 360s and ramming cops off the road in a Lamborghini or Dodge Viper, you think "how could someone NOT like this game?!" With such awesome features like Autosculpt, which allows you to customize your car with personal indents on the hood, roof, and even a spoiler that either could scrape other cars as you drive, or be super skinny and fat, it's your decision. There's also Speedbreaker, which slows down time for you to weave through that six-car pileup to take the lead, or simply drift around the cops into a back alley for a photo finish at the end of a race. It gives the game a Fast and The Furious/The Matrix feel to it. This game has a fun "Crew" system as well. You hire people to be on your crew, blockers, drafters, and scouts. The one you choose could make or break the race for you. Some excel in sprints, some dominate the circuit, and others destroy the speed traps. This game is one i will be keeping and replaying for a long time, and i suggest you buy.
What's great about it: Great graphics, awesome customization, stylish cars, lots of races, variety of tracks, strategic racing, owning a crew
What's not so great: Sometimes the game gets TOO difficult, tracks have too many sharp turns, and drift/canyon races get annoying.

Giving the new dog old games.

No matter who you are, how old you are, you can't forget these sega classics. Nobody can put a price on playing Sega Genesis games until 3AM in their bedroom. Sega has, once more. 30 dollars for 40 games! What a price. And well worth it. This game features a lot of my favorite titles that i have either lost or destroyed in te process of growing up. It also is the only game i know of that can play music straight from the XMB while in game. What's also cool is that there is a SAVE feature on all the games! I was NEVER able to beat Sonic the Hedgehog one two or three because i couldn't do it in one sitting. Now that's gonna change. Thanks Sega! I'm always on your side!
What's great about it: Such fun to play, reminiscing galore, trophies, in game XMB music, lots of classic, recognizable titles
What's not so great: some games are really confusing or stupid

is there a wireless key board I can use on my ps3 to acsess the net and type
You can buy the thumbpad for the controller itself! It is available at best buy for around thirty dollars, and connects via the USB on the top of the controller. It is a mini keyboard that is touch sensitive, acting as a mouse in the web browser, and acting double as a keyboard too.

80GB or 160GB?

I am buying a PS3 for my son. What advantage does a bigger hard drive give you? Is it worth the extra money?
i Go 80GB. i have a 60GB system (it's discontinued.) and i haven't run out of space yet, even after adding about 300 Audio tracks and playing about 20-30 different games and storing save game files on it. A bigger hard drive simply allows the user to store more game data onto the system for later use. I think it's a waste to pay 100$ to get 80 more gigs. If you run out of space with 80 gigs (which i believe is HIGHLY unlikely unless you're a total game freak), just delete some stuff via the PS3's HDD Access from the home menu. So in short...

-80 Gigs should be more than enough space for your son.

-A bigger hard drive allows users to store more data

-No, probably not worth the extra money unless you'll be too lazy to do a hard drive clean up every 6 months or so.
