The lives of three teenaged girls are changed forever when Princess Emeraude from the nation of Cephiro calls upon them to help save the world in this collection of 20 episodes from the long-running anime series Magic Knight Rayearth. The material on Magic Knight Rayearth: TV Series Season 1 has been transferred to disc in the full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. The original soundtrack is in Japanese; this set also includes an alternate audio track dubbed in English, as well as optional English subtitles. Bonus materials include character biographies, interviews with the voice cast, a gallery of production artwork, outtakes, a visit with the creators of the series, alternate versions of songs used in the episodes, unused opening and closing sequences, and much more.

Great Box Set!

This is a great boxed set of a WONDERFUL anime. I watched it in high school (on VHS no less) and just had to own it for myself. Anything by CLAMP is worth it, I promise you.
The first season is very magical-girl, and the second is very shoujou-romance. So if you like one or the other, it's probably better to buy the seasons separately and just forget the other one exists. I like them both, personally. It's a good price for 20 episodes, anyways.
What's great about it: Whole 1st season, simple packaging, bloopers are hilarious, other extras are interesting
What's not so great: no numbers on discs; you must keep them in order
I would recommend this to a friend!
