Works as previously reviewed

As previously said, this device CANNOT do sophisticated video without being choppy. I bought it as a replacement for my external monitor hookup on my Macbook which became bent and nonfunctional. You'll have to download the new driver from their website (because Snow Leopard wasn't out when this product was released) but once you do, it works perfectly.
The usb cord that comes with it is long enough so you can move the laptop around a little bit without pulling something too tight. After you get the driver installed, this device becomes an external monitor hookup to your computer; use the operating system's software, it doesn't require anything special.
I also have Windows installed on my laptop, and the disc-provided drivers worked fine on XP. Haven't tried on Vista or 7, but I'm assuming a download would probably be required for 7 as well, as it wasn't released until after Snow Leopard was.
What's great about it: Easy to setup, responsive
What's not so great: Doesn't handle video
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replaced Three Times, Still Broken
on July 14, 2009

This product is absolutely terrible. My first one broke before I could get it completely out of its packaging. Second one broke the first time I tried to move one of the legs. Third one broke before it could get out of the packaging as well. All three times it was a leg that came completely off. Avoid this product. Even if you can get it out of the box, it will break upon first use.
What's great about it: Clever Idea
What's not so great: Breaks before first use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
