SynopsisTake a journey back in time to the life ~ and death ~ of famous classical composer Frederic Chopin. On his deathbed, Chopin enters a magical dream of a young girl on the brink of a terrible destiny and of a young boy who fights to save her. As Chopin drifts between this life and the next, the story unfolds in a tale of good and evil, love and betrayal. Will the characters in Chopin's dream survive the battles ahead? In Eternal Sonata, explore an immersive world filled with fantastically detailed 3D graphics, high-definition anime-style cel-shading and the lilting compositions of Frederic Chopin. Don't be fooled by the beauty that surrounds you; cunning enemies that can change shape will engage you in intense battles loaded with free-roaming and turn-based action. Overcome these adversaries with strategic use of light and darkness and by adjusting your special attacks to each situation. Play as either Crescendo or Serenade as you explore new quests, battles and events that heighten the action and drama of this moving tale of life, death and destiny.

I owned the XBox 360 version and loved the game. The only problem with it on the 360 was how easy it was to beat. The PS3 version upped the difficulty, allows you to play as two characters that were NPCs in the 360 version and they added extra dungeons. The story is based off of Chopin and what might have possibly been going on through his mind on his death bed. You actually do learn things about his life, so be prepared to learn something. It has amazing graphics and will draw you in very quickly. The controls are easy to get used to as well. I highly recommend this game to anyone who is into RPGs or into action RPGs.
What's great about it: Everything.

This is Final Fantasy versus XIII which means the main character is a guy. The game uses the White Engine which is supposed to use six out of eight of the cell processors in the PS3. Square-Enix always uses high quality sound which means it will more than likely have 7.1 Dolby Digital as an option. This is not a classic RPG style game. This one will play more like Kingdom Hearts if you want a decent reference. Nothing is really known about the story yet. This is one of two Final Fantasy XIII games coming out for the PS3. I am looking forward to this game's release.
What's great about it: Awesome looking game, great detail to a futuristic city
What's not so great: Wait and see

Do you need the rock band 1 game in order to download new songs for rock band 2????

No. I'm not sure however if you can use the Rock Band 1 songs without downloading the pay patch that allows for it.

power supply

does the xbox 360 power supply handle 220 volts as well? For example, if I take mine to Europe, do I need to purchase a transformer or just the plug cover to make it fit their wall plugs?
You'll need to purchase a transformer. I recommend buying the system where you live. If something goes wrong with the system you are only covered in the country it's from and only if you are in that country to send it to them. The Red Ring of Death is still an issue so you need to be careful when making that decision.

IS this safe for children? 13 year old boy?

Can they chat and interact with others and if so, is that dangerous?
They can chat with other people in the game if they are playing online with someone else. It depends more on who the child is playing with. It's just like talking to a random person in a mall. People might curse or make impolite comments. Really depends on what you think your child can handle and how you feel he/she might deal with the situation.
