Politically conscious rap-rock band Rage Against the Machine's final concert appearance is preserved for fans on this DVD release. Rage Against the Machine: Live at the Grand Olympic Auditorium has been transferred to disc in the full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1 and the audio is presented in two formats: Dolby Digital 5.1 and PCM stereo. The songs are performed in English with no multiple language options. Bonus materials include two bonus music videos and additional performances from other concerts (including the group's free show outside the 2000 Democratic National Convention).

Rage's Best Show
on February 3, 2008
Posted by: amberino
This is their 'said' last concert (they grouped back together for sold out festivals in the past few years) in 2000 playing their most popular and most famous songs and the crowd is just hungry for more. you can almost not here the band over the crowd. professionally recorded and good sound for live. they band puts on a great show and this dvd was nothing different from their live viewings and their live shows are the best yet. they definitly know how to get a crowd going and play good music. their live music sounds very similar to their cd sounds - they are very talented.

The most financially successful documentary in history, Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 debuted on DVD less than four months after its initial theatrical run in order to maximize any effect it might have had on the presidential election of 2004. The disc offers the film in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.78:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include nearly a dozen new scenes, including testimony in front of the 9/11 commission, eyewitness accounts from the war in Iraq, and a featurette on the release of the film. Although this initial DVD release does not boast all the bells and whistles that came with the DVD for Bowling for Columbine, this is still a worthwhile disc.

Best Michael Moore Film
on February 3, 2008

Michael Moore will not be remembered for roger and me or for bowling for columbine or for sicko. it will be for this movie. the controversial but yet very factual and accurate farenheit 911. moore takes the viewer through a very factual based description of the terible time in our country's history and the masterminds behind the terrorism that woke us all up on that day. hate him or love him this was a very well put together movie about one of the most historical events in out country's history.

Robert Greenwald's biopic of Abbie Hoffman, Steal This Movie, comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by many of the people involved in the film's production, interviews with cast and crew as well as the actual figures portrayed in the film, deleted scenes, storyboards, and the trailer. This is an excellent DVD release of a little-seen film.

My favorite political movie
on February 3, 2008
Posted by: amberino
this movie follows the true story and life of abbie hoffman in his peak and fall of his political activist career. it introduces his wife and his later lover, his political activist friends who are part of the historical chicago 7 (originally 8). shows historical event from the 1960's and shows just how political hippies were in the era. it combines the drugs and the depression and the watching over of hippies and political leftist activists which leave you with a chill about the government and wire tapping that was done on 'extremist groups'.

My favorite classic movie
on February 3, 2008
Posted by: amberino
this is another great kevin smith film. directed shortly after clerks (original) in the 1990's the story follows two men, one a large mallrat and one that rarely sees the mall after they both have been dumped by their significant others. it is a satirical comedy that pokes fun at relationships and of course, mallrats. you start to love the characters and you cant get enough of the funny cheesy comedy out of this movie. of course jay and silent bob are in it, young jay and silent bob, and make the movie classic. snoogans.

Greatest Thinker Movie
on February 3, 2008
Posted by: amberino
this is a movie that will keep you in suspense, humor you, worry you, and keep you thinking to the point that by the end of the movie you will start getting angry because they throw in a kicker in the end that ties the rest of the movie together, almsot forcing you to re-watch it. but when you do re-watch it you feel better and are more in tuned with the movie. its better the way it is. i have many friends including myself that can recite this movie line by line because we always watch it. definitly worth the buy because its a movie you can watch over and over again and not get bored of since you are always finding clues for the kicker in the end.

A Static Lullaby's Beset Album
on February 3, 2008

This is the bands best album. it was the first one i listened to and everything there after just was not the same. the music is perfect and the lyrics/vocals were perfect for the music. they really showed their true colors in this album and i think that they pioneered one of the more famous sounds in music we hear today in the mainstream.

Just like System!
on February 3, 2008
Posted by: amberino
this sounds exactly like system of a down (this is the lead singer of systems solo album) but what is great is that he put his own twist into the familiar sound so it is a little different but still is very classic to his system of a down origins. great for system of a down lovers. a very political album as well. great lyrics.
