Good but . . .

The movie was enjoyable. The acting was good. I am not a hard core Trek fan. I am a fan of DS9 and Voyager but not the original series so it didn't bother me that Vulcan was destroyed. But people I know who are hard core fans had issues with the changes to the canon.

What's great about it: The main actors could act. The cinematography was good. The story was enjoyable. Best of all, no William Shatner.
What's not so great: Hard core Trek fans may not like the departure from the canon.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is simply the best on so many levels. The best adaptation of a written work. The best cinematography. The best special effects. The best acting. The best soundtrack. It scores perfect in all categories.

What's great about it: Beautiful cinematography, fantastic acting, great special effects and a respectful presentation of the books.
What's not so great: My son bought it for his best friend for a birthday gift, not for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!
