One of the many Rankin/Bass collaborations that families have made a part of their holiday traditions, The Year Without a Santa Claus comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the original broadcast aspect ratio. The closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. English and French subtitles are accessible. There are no supplemental materials on this disc, but anyone looking for family friendly viewing will be more than happy with this title.

I remember this movie from when I was a kid. I have always loved it. It is so family friendly, which is extremely important to me. Kids today may not appreciate the old school animation, but I think it is a nice break from all the HD, 3D and highly digitized films of today. Grab some popcorn and just sit back and be a kid again.

This bench is slightly overpriced for the quality. It looks nice but does not feel sturdy. The legs are so slim. I would not let two people sit on it for fear of it falling apart. It does not have storage, which I knew, and if it did, I would have given more stars for value. Overall, it is doing the job but I am sure it will need replaced in a couple of years.
