Good game but single-player only

My 6 year old has both previous games (Alien Force and Protector of Earth) so he was thrilled to see the new Vilgax Attacks. He paid for it himself with birthday money. We knew before buying it that it was a single-player only but he still wanted it. He likes the game but everytime he plays it, he complains about that part. I can't imagine why D3 did not make this a 2 player game, especially with the $40 price.
I predict that within a month or two after Christmas, this will drop to the $20 price range. If you are looking for a Ben 10 game and don't have Alien Force or Protector of Earth yet, I would recommend either of them over Vilgax Attacks simply for the multi-player option.
What's great about it: It's Ben 10!
What's not so great: Single player

Good workout

I found this while looking for games that worked with Wii Fit and bought it based on the reviews. I've only had it for a week but am really enjoying it so far. I especially like the 'Prepared Workout' option. That was one thing I thought Wii Fit should have but does not. While doing the lessons, I find that I keep moving (feet & hips) without even thinking about it while waiting to throw the next punch. It doesn't take long to work up a sweat. My son (5) also loves doing this and seeing if he can beat Mom at the punch counts & gold total.
What's great about it: Keeps you moving and the variety keeps you interested
What's not so great: A few moves were hard to understand at first but it's easy to review the demos.

Challenging game for younger kids
on November 10, 2008

It's quite a bit more challenging than Ben 10 Protector of Earth and harder to navigate the characters but you get used to it. One thing that can be annoying is there's no hint option. For some challenges, especially Gwen's, if you miss the instructions before going into an area there is no way to get that info without starting the level over...at least not that I've found. This wouldn't be a problem except that my 5-year-old can't read much yet so he doesn't care what words pop up on the screen...just zips right through the doorway and then it's too late. But he's learning to wait for me to read it to him so he knows what he has to do next. Any Ben 10 fan will love it.
What's great about it: Challenging, teaches analytical skills
What's not so great: No way to get hints

Great for younger kids

My 4 year old son had trouble with this at first but once he (and I) figured out how to play the games, he loves it. He cracks up laughing at the Cow race....we have family competitions with that one. This game is probably better for the 4-8 year old range....probably wouldn't entertain older kids for very long.
What's great about it: Good selection-multiple game types

how do you repair wii

Get a new power cord (around $15). This has happened to us a couple of times although I think it was more because of a power surge during a storm than just the power going out. Fortunately that power cord seems to protect the Wii console itself.

What games or good for 8yrs & up.

All of the Lego games are cool (Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones). My son is only 6 but he loves them and his older (9) cousin and older friends also love the Lego games. At that age, I would stick with games that have a multi-player option, especially if you have more than one child. Also, I find the reviews very helpful. I never buy a game without checking out reviews....saves a lot of money & disappointment.
