Undoubtedly, this set caputres Kiss from their beginnings to their zenith and it almost overwhelms the viewer.
There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. Some of the video quality is varied, but that is to be expected given the age. My only gripe is that you can easily get overwhelmed and need to take a break as a lot of the set-lists don't change that much.
But if you enjoy Kiss, this is essential.
What's great about it: Exhaustive video collection
What's not so great: Takes a few days to get through

Much better than Vol. 1 as you get more depth here. Vol.1 is from the bands glory days and you almost get too much of the same material. Here, the music is kicked up with some more variety. Sure there is the "hair" period, but live the material is much better than on the album.
I could always ask for more Creatures and Lick it Up material, but I was satisfied.

This set is an essential release for any serious Iron Maiden fan. In fact, even the casual fans should gobble this up. The band, the sound, the set list, it's all top shelf and spot on. Simply put, Life After Death is one of the best live metal albums ever. This is the visual verison that is a bit different from the CD/LP release due to more bettween song banter.
The bonus material is also jaw-dropping. The History of Iron Maiden pt 2. is almost worth the price of the set alone.

The editing is the only negative on DotR, well, except that is their second live album of the 6-piece era. The first 3 songs suffer from rather manic editing. This makes these songs extremely difficult to enjoy. The editing releaxes later one, but still at time you think you are watching MTV, not Iron Maiden. The bonus material is great. The documentary and music videos are nice little treats that fit perfectly with the concert.
What's great about it: Good setlist and performance. Bonus material is great.
