Good basic recorder

I bought this DVD recorder to convert camcorder video (from 8mm tapes) to DVD, partly as a backup, but also to share the DVD's with family. I simply put in a disk, plug in my camcorder, and start recording. It's very simple. No problems at all. I use single layer DVD+R disks which exactly match a 2 hour 8mm tape when using "standard play" recording mode. I bought this unit because it was the cheapest I found, probably because it does not have a tuner.
What's great about it: Inexpensive
What's not so great: No auto stop feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!
