Finally, this the album true Dream Theater fans have been waiting for. Not since the Awake album has Dream Theater truely captured the essence of Prog Metal. I have always been a fan and kept waiting for the moment when DT would get back the roots of Prog Metal. This album takes us back to that time. You can especially here this in the songs Constant Motion and Dark Eternal Night, with the heavy guitar riffs and intracate changes that are the signature of DT. My favorite songs are, In The Presence of Enemies parts I and II. I wish these songs had been made as one song instead of two parts, but I really like them and think they are the best tracks on the album. I highly recommend this album to all DT fans and fans of Prog Metal.
What's great about it: Heavier and darker than your typical Dream Theater
