This sadistic comic book of a film is given a stunning transfer by Something Weird Video. The colors, particularly the various flesh tones and the red outfit worn by the Crimson Executioner, are impeccable. The disc is presented in a widescreen (non-anamorphic) transfer with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The audio is Dolby Digital Mono. This film has had several incarnations and the excised footage from the American release of the film (billed as A Tale of Torture) has been included on the disc. The footage runs approximately 20 minutes and, though not essential, it is quite entertaining. Also included is a gallery of stills and lobby cards of films from producer Harry Novak as well as a theatrical trailer for the feature. The disc also includes an excerpt from Primitive Love, which features Bloody Pit star Mickey Hargitay and his wife Jane Mansfield dancing to Annette Funicello's "Date Night in Hawaii" on a model-filled Polynesian set. The final extra is a two-minute excerpt from Cover Girl Slaughter, a fashion shoot by way of Madame Tussaud's chamber of horrors. Another bizarre but thoroughly enjoyable disc from Something Weird Video.
