This friction mount is tacky on the bottom which is supposed to keep it secure to the dash but the edges curl up so it doesn't sit flat on the surface. Not only does it not sit well but it looks terrible.
What's great about it: Simple to set up
What's not so great: Base curls up on sides so it doesn't sit flat on the dashboard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
