Good background movie!!!
on September 15, 2009
Posted by: Jago
Overall, this movie was pretty good. I am actually excited to see the other Origins movies when they come out. I was a little disappointed that all of the mutant action scenes pretty much happen in the last quarter of the movie. This in the only thing I do not like about the X-Men series. It seems there are too many characters plotted, so not enough time can be spent on them. The same is true even with this film. There are a lot of characters, when the movie should have focused solely on Wolverine. Aside from that, the action is fantastic and the ending of the movie was pretty cool. I recommend this movie, but do not feel it is worth an additional $20 for the special edition with the Woloverine bust. If you have a Blu-ray player, I highly recommend this.
What's great about it: A movie based solely on Wolverine's past
What's not so great: Too many mutants in the movie (for an Origins movie)

Buy this CD!!!!

Chevelle fails to disappoint again with their newest CD "Sci-Fi Crimes". Chevelle has an awesome sound and you can listen to each of their CDs from beginning to end, without getting bored or skipping songs. If you have never heard any of Chevelle's music, I highly recommend this CD. Their other releases are also very solid. "Vena Sera" is one of my favorite CDs.
What's great about it: Chevelle is an awesome band!

I am glad to see another game that can be added to the Rock Band collection. This game highlights some of the greatest hits from one of the world's best known bands. This is a fun game for gamers of all ages. If you have never experienced the Beatles music, but enjoy the Rock Band series, this could be your gateway to some of the best songs of the last century. The Beatles definitely helped pave the way for rock music and it is such an enjoyment to revisit the roots of rock n' roll.
What's great about it: Rock Band is so much fun!

Killswitch Engage back in full force!!!
on June 30, 2009
Posted by: Jago
Killswitch Engage bring us back into their world of heavy/melodic lyrcis, pounding bass from the rhythm section and the combination of in your face metal gutiar, with melodic undertones. This album is much better than "As Daylight Dies". This album is highly recommended for KSE fans, both new and old.
What's great about it: New music by KSE!!
What's not so great: N/A

Pick this one up!!!!
on June 15, 2009
Posted by: Jago
I am defintely anticipating the release of the newest Tom Morello side project. The first single has been playing on the radio and fans of Rage Against The Machine will not be disappointed. If you love the sound that RATM has made famous, this is definitely an album you need to pick up. Tom Morello and Boots Riley have created a musical masterpiece with this album. I look forward to its release tomorrow.
What's great about it: Solid rhythms, strong lyrics, Tom Morello's signature unique guitar playing
What's not so great: It's not out yet....one more day to go.

I have really grown to enjoy the music Lacuna Coil puts out. The dual lead singers provide a unique blend of tones. The songs are pretty solid on this album. Karma Code is still my favorite album, but this one is worth checking out as well.
What's great about it: Good sound and songs
What's not so great: Not Karma Code

Finally a Batman game worth picking up!!!
on May 1, 2009
Posted by: Jago
I played the demo for this game and it seems as if there is finally a Batman game worth playing. The controls are awesome and very user friendly. The graphics are really good. Being that I only played the demo, hopefully the full game is more in depth. If every level is like the one I played, it could get old pretty quickly. I am definitely going to rent this one before picking it up.
What's great about it: Graphics, controls
What's not so great: ???

What's not to like....MK and DC in one game
on December 30, 2008
Posted by: Jago
If you are a fan of the MK series, this is definitely one to check out. The game play is fun when playing with another player. I beat the game on my first attempt, playing solo, so the game is not too long or difficult. I picked this up at Best Buy online, during a recent sale for $37.99. I would wait until the price comes down again before picking it up. It is a fun game, but not worth $59.99. It is however a good game to add to the collection, especially if you are a fan of the series.
What's great about it: Finally, a Mortal kombat game for PS3
What's not so great: Not very challenging, number of characters

WOW!!!
on December 30, 2008
Posted by: Jago
This is by far one of the best games I have ever played. I used to be a big fan of the Medal of Honor series, but the new games seem so repetitive. So I decided to pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. That game left me wanting more. I picked up World at War as soon as it came out. This game is fantastic and best of all, unlike Medal of Honor, the Call of Duty series are 2 player games. If you are a fan of war games or looking to pick one up, I highly recommend this game. If you like it, also check out Modern Warfare. You will not be disappointed.
What's great about it: Another smash hit in the series
What's not so great: Leaves you thirsting for more

GN' Who
on December 18, 2008
Posted by: Jago
"Better" is the best song on the album and probably the only one worth giving a listen to. Not worth the 15 year wait for a new GN'R album. You can really see the loss of creative juices without Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. The music sounds like a mish mosh of exactly what it is....a mix of sounds from a dozen musicians pasted together over the last 15 years. Some of the guitar riffs try to replicate the playing style of Slash, but do him no justice. I really hope this is Axl's last attempt at keeping GN'R an active band. Harcore fans will enjoy a couple of the songs. Should new fans check it out....hmmmm, not so much!
What's great about it: Nice attempt by a classic rocker!
What's not so great: Not the GN'R you remember

do ps2 controllers work on ps3?

No, but I notice that when playing some PS2 games on the PS3, I have to attach the controller to the PS3 by using the controller's charging cable. For some reason the wireless aspect does not work. One game I can think of, in particular, is "God of War".
