This release contains the entire run of the BBC series Planet Earth, which was shot on revolutionary high-definition cameras over the course of five years, and utilized 40 cameramen in 200 locations. From the highest mountain peaks to the deepest river floors, Planet Earth sets out to capture on camera the most elusive creatures every known to humankind.

Hands down some of the best visual spectacles you will ever see - all captured in high definition. Without a doubt worth the money.
HOWEVER,
Be aware that if you, like me, fell in love with the mini-series when it aired on The Discovery Channel, you might be a little disappointed. The Series was a Co-Op with The B.B.C. and two versions were produced. The B.B.C. version narrated by David Attenborough and The Discovery Channel (TDC) version narrated by the well known Sigourney Weaver.
This is the B.B.C. version.
From what I've found, the only way to buy TDC version first hand is through The Discover Channel online.
Whether you buy this one or TDC version, you will be happy with your purchase and enjoy many hours absorbing all the beauty our Planet Earth has to offer.
