Killzone 2 is not only another shooter with few whistles and bells but it is among the best of the shooters in terms of gameplay and graphics. While i was playing it i felt like i was actually in a war. Unlike the COD series and some other shooters,
Killzone 2 is actually like Battlefield 2 except that it's better. Gun feels real because of the attention to details especially in reloading and the handling. The controls are great. Shooting enemies felt real unlike the paper-like enemies in COD4&5. The ragdolls are probably the best here too.
If you play hard mode it's so fun. The enemies will not stand and fire at you. They cover up and roll around. It's kind of hard to land a clean shot at them this way. While the scripts for the enemies are excellent and almost human-like, they are not as competitive as when you play online.
Online gameplay is very very good. Personallly, i'd say that it's almost like the CS (counterstrike) series. You won't be running around much... instead, you're getting slaughtered left and right every few minutes that's because you're in the KILLZONE.
What's great about it: graphics, physics, sound, online,
What's not so great: dark settings, mediocre explosions,

I've played FF1,2,7,8,9,10,10-2, and 12. I hate to say it but FF13 is most similar to FF12. Yes, that mean it's boring.
The graphics are amazing and the new battle-system is good but the learning curve is about 3 hours. Sometimes i win a battle without knowing what happened.
Why did Square take out the traditional FF musics and themes? Why can't it be like FF9 and FF10 where the victory song is most emphasized?
FF13 does not have any specific music or theme that'll bring back memories after playing the game unlike FF10 or even, FF7 and FF9. It's all jazz and what seemingly sound like "generic" background musics in FF13.
Storyline is hard to follow and is slow to start off. It's like reading a boring book with a boring plot and finally understanding what's going on after 5 chapters of reading.
All in all, FF13 was an amazing game with excellent visuals just that it feels too similar to FF12 and FFX-2 in terms of the music, gameplay, and BORINGNESS.
What's great about it: Beautiful graphics; Battle system;

This game is very very good. Can't expect any more or less from Kojima.
I find the camera issues and some shooting mechnical problems annoying at times. But overall the game is near perfect.
I don't understand why people complain about the long cut-scenes. I think all Metal Gear games are like that plus, how would you expect to understand the story line without these cut-scenes? Run around shooting? This is not a shooter but rather, a story telling sneaking game. This is not COD4. Two totally different style of game here >_<
Unless people want to run around and shoot and then read later. Kind of like those games where you must read inorder to understand the story. I rather not.
I wish the game was longer though. They should have included some acts from the previous games MGS1/2/3.
The weapons selection is also very large. But most of the time you'll find yourselve running around with the same guns. They should make ammunition more scarce and weapons less abundent. I beat the entire game using only 5% of the weapons. Not good.
What's great about it: visuals, Metal gear style gameplay with major improvements, great story telling
What's not so great: sometimes camera sucks, small glitches, too much weapons to use for the short game
