Most detailed rat I've ever seen
on June 19, 2008

This film was great for so many reasons: the acting, the puffiness of the rats, animation, storyline, moral, and the overall fluidity of the plot in motion. This is a PIXAR film, enough said. The only thing that can top this is another PIXAR movie. They raise the bar in graphics.
What's great about it: Fantastic Picture - Fun Story - Good Moral - It had heart
What's not so great: Not enough minor character details

Great Film

Everything in this film was developed. We were introduced to each character at the appropriate time and then they were developed. The whole film intertwines with itself at the end when all the cogs fall into place and rat meets rat. When it's all over, and, attempting not to SPOIL anything here, when everyone has avenged or sought revenge on each other, the movie is left empty, which is exactly the point that it is portraying. The emptiness is there because thats all we're left with when its over: nothing. Brilliant. Its not a happy ending nor should it be. It was perfect. Good choice for Oscars.
What's great about it: Whole Story Is Intertwined
What's not so great: None

Absolutely Astounding

This series takes the viewer to a new world that they wouldn't expect is their own. The amount of time to capture never-before-seen species on film is just impressive. The clarity of everything, the in-depth narrations, and the immersive cinematography puts the viewer right into world he/she is watching. I could not have been more impressed even if I had gone to some to the fantastic sites that they filmed or if I saw the many differenst species up close. For an educational film, this hits the ball out of the park, and out of the atmosphere. Its just so impressive, nobody watching would complain that they're learning something about wildlife.
What's great about it: Unparalleled Cinematography - Brilliant in HD
What's not so great: None

Good Visual Ride

Movie focuses on Peter starting to lose the world around him. Spiderman is becoming the sole identity of him and he needs a release. When he put the costume down for a bit and lived a regular Peter filled day, that was somewhat funny in the last movie. Now, instead of putting away the suit, he puts on a new one that boosts his physique but lowers his rationale. Instead of losing spidey, he wants more of it, because it feels good apparantly. Eventually, the do-gooder as he is, he fights the suit, which we found out to be Venom as it takes over someone else who, too, enjoys the feeling of elevated power. The whole sandman thing didn't really work for me though, but his character was somewhat pitiful, meaning i felt bad that he just gets stuck in a silo. Ha, oh well. The lovey story is still there like usual as Peter still tries to cling to the real world.
Overall, not a bad film. Very visually pleasing. Lighting and effects set the mood and feel of Peter's condition. But, like others have said before, he should be getting more dark and isolated like the Batman movies have done.
What's great about it: smooth camera work - developed characters
What's not so great: Peter & Harry just drop everything at the end and work together?

Navigation made easy

First time using a nav system. I bought this after I had used the nuvi 260 series so I could have one for both vehicles. As far as I can tell, there really isnt any difference between the two. They are great products. Beats busting out the fold-up maps (as if they ever really did refold) Gives intel on detours, when to turn, and what to do if you missed a turn. Gives info on 'points of interest.' Lets say I check my gas and I'm low, just touch that option, select gas, and it lists all of the stations nearby, select one and you're on your way. I used to get lost alot... now It seems that i have to try to lose myself, especially with it yelling at me that i missed my turn, which makes it even more difficult.
It frustrates a lot of people because they claim that the voice gets on their nerves. Some advice (take it if you want) I suggest naming the garmin, as you look less insane when you're yelling at it when it nags! It can be a pretty fiersome backseat driver sometimes.
What's great about it: easy to use - touch-screen - points of interest
What's not so great: Nags me sometimes

Fantastic Album
on June 19, 2008

This album was great. As a Coldplay enthusiast, I own all of their albums and know that they change their style each time they release soemthing new. The style in this album is remarkably different from anything they, or anyone, has done before. The band has a rythm section in this album that simply drives the songs deeper into its melodic trance that it sets on you. The instrumentals are fantastic. I simply put a con up there just to have a con, but i really dont think this album really needs vocals. The instrumentation by itself is enough to mesmerize its listeners. If you enjoyed the two publicity songs (Viva La Vida & Violet Hill) then you'll love the rest of them. My personal favorite is track three on the album - Lost!
Many people say that the album is short, but spanning 45 minutes is the average length of CD's if not more than what some bands release. The reason people think it's short is because they get 'Lost' in the music!
What's great about it: Melodic - Tempo/Rythm - Vocals
What's not so great: Not much vocal

PIXAR meets Playstation 3
on June 19, 2008

This is possibly the most graphically sharp game out on the market right now. Like PIXAR detailing every hair on a small, fuzzy rat, Insomniac puts every detail into the hair of a slightly larger, more yellowish, rat... lombax. Like the precedeing games, this one has humor put in around every corner. Not many shooter games really allow you to relax while playing, but this game seems to provide that. There are the usual bad guys who show up, the dunce that is Quark, and, as usual, a clank that has a new modification. People say that this game is too easy, and, well... it really sort of is, but that doesnt take away at all from the amount of fun this game is. I can see myself playing it over and over again, which is what I did.
The lack of online doesn't affect the greatness of this game. I would imagine that the worlds these guys created for single player took them long enough. 2 thumbs up to this game.
What's great about it: Graphics - Gameplay - Characters - Fluidity
What's not so great: No Online available

"One of the best flims I have ever seen in a war environment. In a tight city full of people who want to shoot them, this film really adds that extra sense of 'being there' with them. It also does a really good job of adding a sense of real time to the film. By watching it, you get how long it has been since the Black Hawk went Down."
What's great about it: Graphics - Immersive - Stunning
What's not so great: Con for this film? Ha!

"I dont usually pick on games for inadequacy, but this one was just astounding to me. I like racing games. I play Gran Turismo, Burnout, Nascar (sometimes) and Need for Speed. Motorstorm just seemed like an arcade game to me. I can picture myself walking into a gameroom and depositing a quarter for about five minutes of fun, but I couldn't imagine myself playing this for an extended period of time. There just doesnt seem to be much of an objective at all to this game. The dirt looked good though, I'll give it that."
"The only pro I can think of is that this is probably one of the only games that doesnt make you drive on cement roads. Woohoo..."
What's great about it: Off Road
What's not so great: ... A lot

Most Immersive in the Market

"The best game I have possibly ever played. The story is well thought out and very immersive. This is not a run and shoot game, the AI are smart and will shoot back, AND they will hit you. You can customize your weapons depending on your ranking and unlocks when online. Though the customization is nice, it is really basic compared to the full customization capabilities offered in Army of Two and Rainbow 6 Las Vegas 2. The story is short, but thats just for the people who play on recruit/normal and just run and gun. When I start out a new game, I go all out. When playing on Veteran, the enemies can drop you in probably three shots if they can get them landed. If you actually want to experience the story as it is intended, play on the most difficult setting and challenge yourself. Nothing is much fun if it is too easy to beat."
What's great about it: Graphics - Online - Customization
What's not so great: Short Story for Some
