In short: Don't buy this game it might be the worst game of 2009
In long: First thing I noticed about this game from the beginning is the complete lack of any high def textures. All the textures in this game are muddled and lack any quality. Knights of the Old Republic back on the original Xbox had a much higher quality to its presentation than the opening create a character did on Dragon Age.
I played about 4 hours of this game hoping for it to get better but the combat is slow and borderline boring and the graphics are so shoddy and poor the Wii would have no problem running this.
The game has frame shutters....from what?!
I will not go into it for long but please rent this if you are at all interested in the game but do not buy it. Save your money for the next three great titles coming out.
What's great about it: Marketing, they found some way to market this like it had the potential to be great and tricked me out of $60 of my cash
What's not so great: Graphics, gameplay, voice overs, lip syncing, no online play, had to download game content on day one!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Xbox vs PS3

My 7 yr old son is wanting a new game system for Xmas and I can't decide between the 360Pro and the PS3. We currently have original Xbox and he likes mostly sports games and the Lego games. The PS3 looks better in my opinion (plus it has Blu Ray ability) but I wonder if the games for it are more adult-oriented. I have also heard the stories of 360's going bad or is this not so much the case with the newer ones? Anyway when I ask him which he'd prefer he always says the Xbox360 first.
The main thing to look at is the game library and what each system has to offer. Eventhough the PS3 does indeed have a blu-ray player it does not have "better graphics" than the 360.

The blu-ray actually inhibits the system because for each new game you buy for the PS3 you have to install a large chunk of data just to play the game. Reason for that is the blu-ray drive is only 2x speed (which is very slow).

Also blu-ray is great for high def movies but the Xbox offers the rental and purchase of many popular new movies in 1080p. So you could either pay for a $15 download, $4 rental or for a $30 blu ray DVD.

If you son loves sports games then he will love Xbox Live. He can easily join up with the huge community and play Madden 2010, and the other sports games. Xbox Live eventhough its $50 a year it offers the newest demos, downloadable content and videos.

Check out the game libraries and see which one has more exclusive titles that he likes.

A great example of this is that Ninja Gaiden 2 came out for the Xbox 360 a year ago, and just recently it came out for the PS3....a year later. And that is not the only example.

So in short: Check out the game libraries and see what fits best. The blu-ray argument is the least important decision about this.
