When I first heard N.E.R.D. were releasing a new album I was releaved. Months Earlier I heard rumors of a break-up. After hearing Pharrell's "In my mind" I realized how much Chad must bring to the collective. Expectations high, and eager to hear the new material. I somehow resisted downloading a leaked version of the album. It was worth the wait. Almost every track seems focused and on point. Only a few misteps "anti matter" keeps the album from being perfect. Overall I was impressed by how much these guys have grown musically. Although I wish for "U know what" the trio would have let Res handle the vocals as originally intended. Pharrell does his thing for pretty much the whole album. A must have if you liked The first NERD album.
What's great about it: Fresh, eclectic, and great production
What's not so great: Some questionable lyrics, some songs sound like previous Neptunes production
