Great Value

I have had this several months. I think it is a really a great value. It works really well; records well, plays well, easy to set up and use, etc. I play regular DVD's to my high def TV and they come out sparkling! I really like the remote which is much better than my old one; it is not backlit, but it is big and has a lot of nice features.
What's great about it: Very nice overall
What's not so great: No Cons
I would recommend this to a friend!

TV size

How are TV measured to figure out size? side to side, diagonially?
TV's are measured diagonally to specify screen size. In the specs for the TV you will find the overall heighth, width, and depth of the TV set which is helpful to ensure it will fit in the space you have available.

Reception of over-the-air HD broadcasts

When comparing different flat panel LCD HD TVs, if the RF antenna input item is left blanc, does that mean that TV is not capable of receiving the over-the-air broadcasts?
I understand that if the RF item is blank then there is no RF input and you can not receive over-the-air broadcasts. I thought all sets had and RF input, but maybe I am wrong. Maybe they do not ihave an RF input if they do not have an internal tuner, which would make sense. All sets do not have an internal tuner; they expect you to have cable or satellite service, and the tuning is done on those boxes! I just got a new set recently that has an RF input and an internal digital tuner and I am getting excellent high definition reception of our local channels over-the-air using an old style outside antenna:-)
