Based on the Demo...don't

I played the Demo. Controls are Touch-screen only, and terrible. Unless the full version offers D-pad support I wouldn' t buy this icky little port.
What's great about it: Um...It's new and on the DS
What's not so great: CONTROLS MAKE IT NEARLY UNPLAYABLE

Finished?

Halo 3 finishes the story of Spartan 117 against the insance prophets of the Covenant that seek to destroy all life in the universe to obtain divinity. While it was good to hear out the end (?) of the story I found Campaign to be lackluster and alittle disappointing compared to the previous two chapters. It didn't have that Halo feel until the very end as I was escaping an exploding vessel in a Warthog...again. While the play is great, and the game is very pretty, it was just missing that magic 30 seconds of fun the first two had.
What's great about it: Story's done?, Forge & Custom armors
What's not so great: tilted towards multiplayer, Campaign not as good as priors

Take Flight- Just Hurry Up & Finish Exploring
on August 19, 2008

from Jacksonville, FL
NiGHTS:Journey of Dreams is the sequel or reissue- of the Sega classic. One of those games that made you wish you had the other system. You enter the dream of either Will or Helen, two normal kids with a little bit of growing up to do. While in the dream you find that Nightopia, the world of dreams is in a bit of trouble. Seems Nightmarens are ambushing people and stealing thier Ideya. "Wait," you say "so nightmares are stealing ideas?" Uh yeah, pretty much. The writing isn't exactly the game's strong point. You fly through most stages zipping thru rings and collecting chips. As you progress, you'll unlock a couple of new forms, and items you collect during stages will make it's way to a customizable area that you can use to visit others on the web or who actually own NiGTHS.
The description of the game's play is a little misleading. You do explore. Alot. You do fly. Most of the time. The flight portion of the game is generally timed. You're chasing down someone, or following an octopus that leaves rings for you to follow, or the occasional puzzle like boss fight. Not the free flowing exploration I was hoping for. The next big complaint, the lack of GOOD motion controls for the Wii version. You point on the screen where you want NiGHTS to fly. Good idea, but the execution is TERRIBLE. The cursor for motion control doesn't move along with your movements as crisply as I would like. Others may not have this complaint, but I liked the idea and am disappointed that it didn't work better. Oh well- traditional style controls are good. The overall package is good. Just a couple of dissapointments from a grouchy old gamer who's been itching for a crack at NiGHTS' unique gameplay. Please don't let a couple of dings turn you off it's still an excellent game. Also don't let the game's candy coating fool you. With a little practice the little ones will paralooping nightopians all over the place and really enjoying the playful nature of the game. But Dad's going to be sneaking in at night to get a few laps in trying to get an A ranking chasing those birds and perfecting his links chasing Octopaw. Be careful with the littlest ones. Although cartoony, some of the boss imagrey can be quite unsettling. Imagine the most evil clown possible. Make it cute...much cuter...having nightmares yet?
Here's hoping for a Wii Shop update for Christmas NiGHTS!
What's great about it: Tight Controls, Good for the most Hardcore too
What's not so great: Short. Motion based controls are terrible.

This is why House of the Dead is only 30$!

Buy this if you get House of the Dead. Your game will improve. I've had no durability complaints whatsoever and I have a 1yr old that will occasionally grab an accessory or two off the shelf to play with. I wouldn't reccomend this for any games that require nunchuck play ( although there is a plug in ) and accessing the top buttons on a regular basis.
What's great about it: Pistol Grip, good weight
What's not so great: Can't reach A, Home, +, -, 1, or 2 buttons easily

Great Light Gun Game!

Good mindless zombie killing fun! I'd reccomend getting Nyko's Perfect Shot pistol accessory for a more arcade feel, but you'll still have to rely on crosshairs to aim. Lots of blood flying around, but you can turn down the gore factor in the options. You have to earn the unlimited credits option and you can always grab a spare Wii-mote and get that good ol' double fisted lead slingin' feel of the arcades. An online scoreboard would have been fun, but oh well. Good value at the release price, after a price drop would be even better!!
What's great about it: 2 games in one, low price.
What's not so great: No down the barrel aiming, you have to rely on crosshairs. No HotD 1?!

Brace yourself for a new set of tricks, tracks and ways to race. The included Wii Wheel transforms your Wii Remote into a steering wheel that feels great in your hands, while the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller supply a classic control style for veterans of this racing series. Either way, you'll be able to perform impressive speed-boosting tricks, such as jumps, flips and wheelies. You can zip through brand-new tracks and arenas, and also tour classic courses from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Kart DS. There are even options for trying all-new motorbikes that have their own special tricks and techniques. The action gets fast, furious and funny when you race in Mario Kart Wii.

Another great Mario Kart Game-
The Computer AI is cheap and has a tendency to really lay into you right before you finish making it harder to win against the PC.
What's great about it: Online Play, Motorcycles, New Stuff!
What's not so great: The computer AI cheats like it always has, Better online!

Good, but not that Pretty
on July 30, 2008

NGDS is a game that really showcases different play options that are available on the DS. The gang at Team Ninja have released another great game. The book hold & stylus play sets this game apart from other action titles on the DS. You esentially slash using the stylus across the enemies to fight and then drag the stylus to move around. At times when fighting lots of enemies you're down to pretty random scribbling, when fighting bosses you really learn to finesse all the moves to get your hits in. While not as punishingly hard as Ninja Gaiden released for the XBOX & PS3 The challenge does ramp up quite a bit as you get into the higher hidden difficulty levels. Graphics are a little lax, but the gameplay itself more than makes up for it. Biggest complaint I could come up with was the lack of initial challenge ( Normal is way to easy ) and at times when you're far from the camera it's hard to slash the right monster.
What's great about it: Cutscenes are excellent, Stylus control makes the game more accesible.
What's not so great: Stylus controls aren't precise when you're far from the camera
