With a new day comes a new leader for the sixth season, as Wayne Palmer (DB Woodside), brother of former president David Palmer, has taken the reins from the corrupt Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin). But President Palmer has little time to celebrate his election, as America faces yet another grave threat, this one from Islamic terrorist Abu Fayed (Adoni Maropis). By way of introduction, Fayed orders suicide bombings of 10 U.S. cities over a period of 11 weeks. But he's just getting warmed up-before Day 6 comes to a close, the threat goes nuclear. Trying to prevent further bloodshed, as always, is Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). Out of the frying pan and into the fire, Jack is freed after months of torture in a Chinese prison, only to be handed over to Fayed in exchange for seemingly valuable intel. Tackling the day's dangers on the CTU front are new personnel additions Mike Doyle (Rick Schroder), who replaces the fallen Curtis Manning as director of field operations, and Agent Milo Pressman (Eric Balfour), who has a history of butting heads with his new boss. Day 6 also provides the first glimpse of Jack's blood relatives, his father Phillip (James Cromwell) and brother Graem (Paul McCrane). But it's far from a touching family reunion, as one of Jack's toughest challenges is determining where the other Bauers' loyalties lie. Several new faces make their way to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., including steely vice president Noah Daniels (Powers Boothe) and presidential advisers Reed Pollock (Chad Lowe) and Thomas Lennox (Peter MacNicol), each of whom has his own agenda. Making a surprise return later in the day are former president Logan, his ex-wife Martha (Jean Smart), and former Secret Service agent Aaron Pierce (Glenn Morshower), all of whom play brief but pivotal roles in the season's developments.

Jack Bauer is the Man!

Just when you thought the writers of 24 couldn't throw anything else new at you...they did! Season 6 of 24 delivers more nonstop action and a plot that starts or great and draws you in even more with each passing second. When you first run into Jack Bauer, he's lower that he's ever been before...but that doesn't stop him from doing what he needs to. Watching 24 is truly like eating potato chips...you can't have just one. You'll be hooked by the first episode, and you'll just want to keep watching and watching. Familiar faces return to face a new enemy. Season 6 was the best yet for 24...and with Season 7 only a few months away...who knows what will happen. Need something exciting to watch? Grab Season 6 of 24!
What's great about it: 24 sets a new standard for drama!

As a kid, I grew up watching Transformers every week. Seeing it brought to life on the big screen was incredible. The plot along with the action scenes made for a great movie. And seeing the atubots and decepticons brought to life was great! Voice acting and all was simply great! 5 stars!
What's great about it: An awesome translation from aniimated series to live-action movie!
What's not so great: Ending came up somewhat abruptly.

Green Day Rules!

American Idiot was a shift in, not only the appearance of the band, but in their music. And let's just say that they nailed it! American Idiot is a phenomenal album, with Green Day doing what they do best. It's hard not to get fired up when listening to tracks like American Idiot, or Holiday. I would go as far as to call this album a masterpiece. It has a little bit of everything, in just the right proportions. Some great rock, mixed with some more serious tones. 5 Stars!
What's great about it: An awesome new style, GREAT music!
What's not so great: If this sort of thing bothers you, the language could be a bit rough at times...

WHOA!

It's been quite a while since I saw a movie that was just raw, blind action. 300 is one of those movies that just gets you pumped up! The CGI scenery and effects were spectacular! The acting...TREMENDOUS! The plot was very simple, but it hit hard with all of the action, fighting, and whatnot! Need a thrill ride that you don't really want to think your way through? Pick up 300. It's the kind of movie you can watch time after time. Oh, and try it out on a surround sound system. Trust me on this one...
"THIS IS SPARTA!!!"
What's great about it: This movie is raw action!
What's not so great: Depends on your point of view...you either like it, or you don't.

Marvel finally hit the nail on the head with the transition from comic to movie with Iron Man. This movie had it all. The acting was superb, the effects were top-notch, and there was plenty of great action! The plot line was excellent, and there's a special little surprise at the end of the credits that just put the icing on the cake. I have nothing bad to say here. This movie gets 5 stars all around!
What's great about it: Acting, plots, effects...everything was bordering on perfect!
What's not so great: None, which is a first for any Marvel movie I have seen.

Not Bad at All!

Spider-Man 3 was a movie that I was looking forward to for a very long time. I loved the comics as a kid, and seeing it brought to life on the big screen was just awesome. There's plenty of action in this movie, and I love the plot of Peter Parker struggling with the darkness within himself. The story ultimately culminates in his redemption as he takes down the villains, and ultimately his dark side. That being said, it seemed like they were really trying to pack a lot into this movie, so there wasn't a whole lot of time to sit and catch your breath. There was always something being thrown at you, but I personally love action scenes, so I was OK with that for the most part. I thought this was a great movie, but I do acknowledge that it could have been better.
What's great about it: Excellent rendition of the struggle within oneself, albeit extreme, but you can relate.
What's not so great: So much happens in such a short amount of time.

Brace yourself for a new set of tricks, tracks and ways to race. The included Wii Wheel transforms your Wii Remote into a steering wheel that feels great in your hands, while the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller supply a classic control style for veterans of this racing series. Either way, you'll be able to perform impressive speed-boosting tricks, such as jumps, flips and wheelies. You can zip through brand-new tracks and arenas, and also tour classic courses from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash and Mario Kart DS. There are even options for trying all-new motorbikes that have their own special tricks and techniques. The action gets fast, furious and funny when you race in Mario Kart Wii.

Mariokart Wii is a triumphant return to the original style of Mariokart, and Nintendo certainly pulled out all the stops on this one! Most notably, thanks to the technology of the Wiimote, and the handy Wii Wheel included with the game, Mariokart Wii puts you right in the driver's seat, and you must actually steer using the Wii Wheel and Wiimote. Nintendo revived some tracks from old games for all you long-time fans, brought in a slew of new characters, and another great feature: You get several different vehicles to choose from...including motorcycles! I've owned the game for over a month now, and its still at the top of my list! Pick up a copy, you'll be glad you did!
What's great about it: New Tracks, New Characters, New Vehicles!
What's not so great: Good Luck Finding One...I couldn't...

Pretty Good, but Could have been Better.

Look, every gaming console on the market today is going to have it's plusses and minuses. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was a fun game, but I do acknowledge that it could be better. It seems like in some cases, that you can't get the best of all worlds. That is, you can't have your amazing graphics and interactive play too. What the Wii version of this game lacks in graphics power, it makes up for with its control scheme. To perform many of the techniques, you need to do more than just press buttons. It will occasionally involve turning the Wiimote and/or the nunchuk in a certain fashion, in conjuction with a certain button combo. In any case, the very fact that you need to swing the Wiimote to weild your lightsaber is tempting enough.
I would have liked the game to be a bit longer, but its has a great story nonetheless. Bottom line: if you like Star Wars in any way, shape, or form, this is certainly a game worth picking up. Good, could be better, but I do recommend it.
What's great about it: Controls put you right in the game.
What's not so great: Short story, and the graphics were a bit shaky.

They may look cute, but there's nothing nice about the characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This fighting frenzy will have you inflicting painful KO's on familiar opponents you thought were your friends. Take your frustrations out on Link, Mario and other characters from throughout the gaming world. Shoot spaceships out of the sky in the Lylat System from the Star Fox games and deal out killer blows in Rumble Falls based on the look and feel of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat.Hit opponent after opponent to build up your damage meter, then knock your enemies clear off the screen. Rely on weapons that are silly but very effective, such as banana peels, pitfalls, gooey bombs and many more. Hurl old-school crates and barrels or select from Assist Trophies and Poke Balls to strike fear in the hearts of your foes. Combine Standard, Strong and Smash attacks to bash your way to victory. There are so many ways to smash, you'll get lost in the melees for hours on end.

Best Smash Bros. Yet!!

Best game I own for my Nintendo Wii. I have always been a fan of the Smash Bros. series, and I can honestly say that this one was worth the wait. The game has a sleek new look to it. New and familiar characters give it that same Smash Bros. feel, but of course packing more than a few new tastes! The new one-player mode is outstanding, multiplayer mode leads to hours of fun, and there are plenty of side challenges to keep you occupied and entertained for a long time to come! One might argue that it gets a bit repetitive, but that's a big part of what makes this game so great. It just has that kind of excitement that just keeps you always coming back for more. If you own a Wii, buy this game!!
What's great about it: Smooth, crisp game play, Lots of new characters, awesome new game modes, great multiplayer, Hours upon hours of fun!
What's not so great: NONE!
