After exploring the worlds of toys and bugs in the two Toy Story films and A Bug's Life, the award-winning computer animation company Pixar delves into the realm of monsters with its fourth feature. Hulking, blue-furred behemoth James P. "Sully" Sullivan (John Goodman) and his one-eyed assistant Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) are employed by Monsters, Inc., a scream processing factory. It seems that the denizens of their realm thrive on the screams of kids spooked by monsters lurking under their beds and in their closets. It's the job of Sully, Mike, and their co-workers, including sarcastic Randall Boggs (Steve Buscemi), crab-like CEO Henry J. Waternoose (James Coburn), and lovely snake-headed receptionist Celia (Jennifer Tilly) to keep the frights flowing. When Sully and Mike are followed back into the monster world by a very unafraid little human girl named Boo (Mary Gibbs), they are exiled to her universe, where they discover that such a modern-day mythological specimen as the Abominable Snowman is a fellow refugee.

New Line has delivered a great DVD in Blow, the third release in its Infinifilm series. The Johnny Depp-starring film about the rise and fall of a cocaine dealer has never looked better. The picture is top-flight, presented in a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen format. Sound is decent, offered in Dolby Digital 5.1, but in a film as dialogue-heavy as this one, one won't notice it as much. The extras are the true superstars here. The Infinifilm series invites viewers to "go beyond the movie" by offering features that shed light not only on the film's production, but also on its subject matter. Included on the disc is an interview with George Jung, the real person on whom the film is based; a commentary from Jung and director Ted Demme; "Lost Paradise," an in-depth look at the Columbian drug trade; a six-minute featurette on drug addiction; deleted scenes; and a production diary, among many others. With the Infinifilm feature, many of these features can be accessed during the film itself, taking viewers to features relevant to the scene in question. The DVD is excellent in all respects and is well worth the money. Hopefully, other studios will follow New Line's lead and include more than just EPK material on their DVDs.

it was a good movie if your into horror and bibles-it had a weird storyline and awesome death scenes but the story was too long-you had to try and figure out what was going on-it was a little bit confusing-it was too long of a story-i would watch it for the deaths over again but i would skip it because of the story-
One look at this DVD, and viewers won't believe it's all animation. One of the most detailed DVDs out today, this is bound to go down as a classic both in animation and children's features. Dinosaur, released by Walt Disney Pictures, is the charming story of a dinosaur mistakenly raised by lemurs. The special effects of the meteor hitting the earth are so realistic, you'll find it hard to believe that this is an animated movie. Because the movie was released digitally, the DVD is created straight from the digital source, and it shows in the sound and quality. The sound is Dolby 5.1 (other options are THX-certified and DTS 5.1) with French and English tracks. It's available for viewing in both standard and 1:85:1 widescreen versions. Along with the awesome visuals and sound, there are plenty of features to occupy viewers long after the movie is over. Highlights include background on how the special effects were created, a documentary on the sound design, a feature on "building a better dinosaur," and several games, including "Dinosearch" and "Aladar's Adventure." Also included are web links and a dinosaur encyclopedia. Disney went all out with this DVD, and it shows.

In 1958, as part of the dedication ceremony for a new elementary school, a group of students is asked to draw pictures to be stored in a time capsule but one mysterious girl fills her sheet of paper with rows of apparently random numbers instead. Fifty years later, Professor John Koestler (Nicolas Cage) makes the startling discovery that the encoded message predicts every major disaster of the past 50 years. As John further unravels the document's chilling secrets, he realizes the document foretells three additional events - the last of which hints at destruction on a global scale and seems to somehow involve John and his son.
