Just ok for app only based control.

Unboxing: The system comes in a box with a handle which was nice. Opening the box everything was organized in its own box. Each camera was in its own box. Directions where located on top of all boxes for easy access.
Setup: The instructions give you two options via the app or connecting a HDMI cable which was provided to a monitor. The first time I set this unit up I used the mobile app. The mobile app on android is rated pretty low so I was concerned about set up due to the rating and reviews. Once I downloaded the app it walked me through setting up a profile and started the setup process via Bluetooth. This part went smooth. It detected the DVR and set it up with no issue. Cameras where also detected with no issue once a battery was installed. When you install one battery the camera turns on and automatically goes into pairing mode. Once set up mounting was easy. You are able to remove the mounting base from the camera for easy access. The box contains mounting anchors and screws. There are no extras so make sure you get the anchors right the first time. After I set up all the cameras I was able to view them via the app no issues. I tried accessing the cameras on and off my wifi network. On network it was quick to access the cameras off network it was much slower which makes sense. It does appear the app can tell if it is on the same network as the DVR and access via IP instead of always going through the cloud. I also set this unit up via the HDMI connection without the mobile app and that was much more complex to set up. It is recommended to set it up via the app.
Experience: Initial set up was fairly simple if you used the app but if you want to manually be prepared for a long process. While the DVR seems solid with a HDMI connection, USB connections for keyboard and mouse. The mouse was included. The cameras are another story. While the picture is good for 1080p these cameras feel light and cheap. There is a speaker on the camera that is for two-way communication that is terrible. It is also very loud and distorted. During setup it was crazy loud letting know it is pairing. Also if you place these in alert mode the light comes on and repeats smile you are on camera super loud and distorted over and over until it clears the alert. Another issue I had was getting the PC application to work. I was able to install and login with no issues. I was able to see the DVR unit but it stated it was offline so I could not access anything. I tried reinstalling and updating my PC still showed offline. But when I went to my phone application it was working as intended. I did connect a HDMI to the DVR unit and that worked as expected showing all cameras but it was not set to auto live stream I had to start each camera.

Pros:
Set up at least on the mobile application was simple

Unable to get PC application to work – This was a deal breaker for me.
The casing feels cheap and need to be switched to something better. I don’t believe it would stand up to the elements very well.
Speaker was distorted and for me wouldn’t be needed.

Excellent simple Android laptop alternative

I like this Chromebook being that it changed my perspective of them being cheap devices. The build quality and finish are just as good as a Windows laptop. I am very surprised. This laptop offers a lot of pro's of the hardware but the key is the Google Chrome OS which makes it like a Mobile/Tablet experience. You with a Gmail account have web browsing, google productivity apps, youtube, printing, even rdp to your other computers when you install it thru chrome on the other device. I can really see how this makes things simpler for those who need something more than a phone for school/home needs but does not want the maintenance of Windows/Mac (Cost). This also has a touch screen which is nice if you want to experience the laptop more like the mobile counterparts. I wish I had a Android as I am guessing it would pair nicely since there is a messaging app which would be efficient. Now the cons I experienced is I cannot tell how much more efficient the AMD CPU and RAM are since there is not a task manager window to view but I have not felt a slow down on anything. The battery life is just ok. I am getting 8-10 hours consistently so that is great. Much better than in Windows. Back to the cons, I do not like that I cannot install my company VPN to access my work computer and I do not like that I cannot access my home printer since I cannot install my drivers on this since it requires a driver installation. A great step forward just think if your use case is school or just basic home computing this is a low complexity laptop. I really like it for most users.

Excellent surge protection for my garage door

I was looking for something like this for awhile. We live in Florida and the power can flicker often during the summer months and Hurricane season. My garage door outlet is in the ceiling above the motor so protecting it was not an option the traditional surge protector option. This was my answer. I cut the power to the breaker. Removed the old outlet and plate. Installed the new outlet with the new plate. Then I turned on the breaker and all was working. Of course I have no way to test it but it is comforting that I am protecting some of my valuable electronics in the home. I plan on getting more for other items like our spectrum modem outlet. These really are a must have here. The only thing they could improve on is to make a few different colors and a way to connect them to an app so I can see if they have protected the devices from a surge to proactively replace them in the future. There really is not much else to say other then there is a reset button on the outlet like the gfci ones that normally come in the kitchen but that helps reset them. Does not show the level of surge it protected.

Well built outdoor bracket

I already had a bracket mounted in my lanai. I wanted to install this to see if it was stronger and better built. The packaging and instructions were clear. More importantly this moves smooth when adjusting the tv angle and folds flat smoothly. I can tell my the thickness of the materials that this is a better product than what I had. All of the mounting bolts were included for mounting onto wood so nothing extra would be needed. However my install was into concrete so I needed to get new bolts from the local hardware store but to be expected. The only issue I have is the price for the bracket should have included hardware for most installation scenarios since not every application is wood based. I also like that I am able to lock the tv in place like when we have strong storms. Also the tv extends 25” so I can really move it in many angles in the back area. It tilts up and down easily to move away from the sun glare.
I think this is about as good as one can expect from a mounting bracket. The only thing that remains to be seen is how it holds up over time with respect to rusting in the Florida humidity.

Excellent compact versatile coffee maker

Such an amazing design and very user friendly! This machine has a sleek, modern look and so many brew options including classic, rich, extra rich and specialty brew. I love that you can use either coffee grounds or K-Cups, along with six different ounce amounts. This coffee maker has an unique brew over ice feature that I have not seen in another model. This is so great because it will not create a watered-down version of an iced coffee! My favorite feature is the collapsible milk frother. So quick and easy to use while waiting for coffee to brew, then easily tucks away for compact storage. I really love that the cup platform is adjustable. This really helps with controlling the pour for a mess free process. My only complaint is that I do wish this machine was compatible with the reusable K-cup filter. Having that added feature would be much more eco-friendly and cost-effective option. The machine is very compact and fits nicely on a standard countertop, plus all of the attachments and optional compartments easily tuck into each other. I really like the length of the electrical cord, as it can easily be tucked behind a cabinet for a seamless appearance. The instruction manual was very clear on how to clean and prep this machine for first use. The packaging Nicely covered the machine and all compartments for perfect protection. This is a wonderful addition to our home, and I highly recommend it!

Best gaming wireless headset ever

I thought initially they were just another set of wireless headphones. After unboxing them and plugging in the wireless connection reciever then it prompted me to install razer software. Initially I was not interested. After reading more about the product the only way to update the sound profiles is to install the razer software and create a profile. Upon creating the user account it kept failing on the captcha. There was no way to make an account online. Out of frustration I just used my gmail login to create the account. After that I was prompted for an update and the. The sound profiles for different games. This is where they took an amazing turn. I found the sound profile during Fortnite to be very accurate. In fact the best I have ever heard for spatial sound awareness. These are very well tuned and I did not have to mess with any settings. After several days of use they were really comfortable and the microphone picked up my voice very well. I do think they look very dated but I will accept that as a con since that is the only con I have. I really do not see an area that they can improve.

Great printer I can refill ink but small display

Unboxing was very straightforward. Opening the top of the box shows pictures on the correct way to unload the printer, the ink cartridges, and instructions. Picking up the printer it was lighter than expected given the weight of the box. After unboxing I had one printer, 4 bottles of ink and two ink cartridges. What was noticeably absent was a USB cable. This unit is advertised as a wireless unit so it is not entirely disappointing but there is a USB port on the back of the unit and during the setup it does ask if you want to set it up via USB cable but more on that later.

As an FYI the default password is the serial number which is located on the back of the printer. I had to look this up as I did not find it included in the documentation provided.
Set up was fairly easy. I do like being able to easily view my ink levels and the prints are great. My hang ups are the small screen on the front of this unit. You have to be pretty close to read it. The panel on the front also does not move so you only get one good view angle.Lastly the ink delivery I would much rather have a cartridge with little to no potential for a spill. What Canon has done here makes it pretty foolproof with different colors having different heads on the bottle but the potential is still there.

Excellent Smart Thermostat with easy install

Setup was easy. Just removed the old AC controller and opened the install guide. I downloaded the Sensi app from the app store. Created an account and hit the plus sign to get instructions. During the setup video it told me to take a photo of my old setup which was genius. Then in the app it had me select which wires I had which made the next step of connecting them easy. In the past there were examples and a lot of trial and error. This really made the install user friendly since I am not a home improvement type of person. They even provided stickers to mark my wires so I know what goes where. Really genius. Next there were instructions to connect the Sensi to my wireless and then I was all set.
Configuration. I set up a schedule to set the cool temp for morning and turn it down when I am away for weekdays. After that I went to the settings to setup alerts to change the air filters. The unit looks and works well. So far have not had any issues. I like the color changes on the screen when it is cooling/heating. It helps when looking from a distance. Some advanced stuff I found after a few days are that it has a geofencing feature I enabled that adjusts based on my presence vs just a schedule. Also I can lock out the controls from my other family that messes with the AC and forgets it is on Hold.
I do plan on getting some sensors they sell so I can try to balance the cooler areas and hotter areas in my home as the temp near the sensi can differ from downstairs. This allows me to remain cool but unfortunately freezes the kids upstairs. I cannot comment on the heat as I am in Florida and we are just hot all year. Also I am going to connect this to my Google Home app so I can control all of my smart home devices in one place but it integrates with all of the majors out there.

It is a huge step up from the original IPhone. Each Year they get better and better. This year finally the most needed thing (larger Display). I only wish the 2 features in the plus were in this and it would have been perfect. Full 1080p display and the optical Image Stabilization. The Plus is nice but its practically a tablet and really should have been able to have those features in both. Otherwise very happy with the upgrade.
