Perfect for my Game Room

This is my first time using JBL bookshelf speakers, and I have to say unpleasantly surprised with what they can do.
The packaging on these was excellent besides being properly secured in foam they had this really nice mylar bag wrapped around him as an extra layer of security and it’s so nice. You can actually save it for the next time you need to do it, which is much better than those mylar slips that they used to do…this actually has a tie off.
It goes without saying, but you need to provide speaker cables for these. I ended up going with a set of audio quest, X2 cables and their gold plated banana plugs. The hardest part about getting the speaker set up was getting the little plug out of the back so I could put the banana plug-in🤣🤣
Sound quality is excellent for what I needed to do. It’s crisp loud and you can hear all the nuances of the games that you’re playing. As far as volume is concerned, you can really crank these up before you lose distortion, granted this is for a very simple 2.1 set up however it’s more than enough power that if you’re playing a game you love and you wanna crank it up for a favorite scene…they can handle the power!!

I was hesitant to try this receiver because normally I’m a Denon guy however I was pleasantly surprised at what does JBL can do.
Set up is fairly straightforward; take it out of the box, get it all plugged in, download the updates (took about 10 minutes), plug in your cables and go. One of my favorite things is the extra large information screen upfront, it’s clear and easy to read!!
This receiver is being used in my game room at it powers two JBL bookshelf speakers and a JBL 10 inch subwoofer. I do plan to add surround sound speakers at some point but for now this is a very simple 2.1 set up.
it effortlessly Switches from my PlayStation 5 PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Switch and it instantly synced with my TV remote so when you turn the TV off, it will also power the receiver off…which I think is a nice touch.
Sound quality is excellent for what I needed to do. You can hear all the nuances and has more than enough power so if you feel the need to crank it up, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the sound it can produce!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Another Amazing Ring Product, Worth Every Penny!!

I recently moved to the Ring ecosystem and now I see why everyone raves about it. I was extremely excited to get this camera for my basement as I have a large game room and this provides the necessary camera coverage to see (and protect) everything.
This device packs some serious functionality, the Pan/Tilt is remarkably smooth, like there’s zero lag from phone to camera movement. Resolution is crisp, night vision is excellent and the privacy cover is a nice option! Just slide it over when you need it and slide it back when you’re done.
It only takes 7 seconds to fully rotate the camera 360° and about 4 seconds to fully tilt. I think that’s a great response time if the situation arises and you need to move your camera fast.
Two way talk is such a nice feature and being able to customize your alerts is a huge win. My camera mainly watches my high dollar items and being able to have alerts when people walk by those (not just entering the room) makes a huge difference.
Setup is a breeze (as it always is with Amazon/Ring devices), just plug and play! Actually I think the software install took longer than setting it up in the app!
Just like the title says, Worth Every Penny!!

Absolute Beast of a Wall Mount

This is by far and wide the best full motion TV mount that I’ve ever owned. My TV is a 77 inch LG C3 OLED and this mount holds it and maneuvers it like nothing I’ve ever used before.
At almost 50 pounds this is the heaviest mount that I’ve ever used, however the weight is justified in order for it to properly accomplish the 4D movement of your TV.
Mounting is very straightforward and if you’ve mounted any other TV mount, then this will be no different for you. You’ll need a stud finder, pencil, ratchet socket & drill-bit set. Due to the weight, you may need a second person to help hold the mount while you complete the mounting process.
One drawback that I noticed is the cable management window is small and can only accommodate one to two cables going through it (power and HDMI cable) so you’ll need to plan accordingly to wire your system properly.
I would also recommend practicing moving the TV mount a couple of times to get a feel for it before you put your TV on it.
Once you get it mounted, you’ll find it almost effortless to move your TV. Adjusting the viewing angle and tilting is very simple and my 10-year-old had no problems moving the TV.
All in all a great mount and well worth the cost!!

Amazing Tech but Costly, Requires In App Sub

As expected this dash camera performs beautifully, records high quality videos and has an excellent companion app.
One feature I particularly like is Witness Mode, which when activated (for road rage, angry people etc), starts recording live video and will share it live with a designated trusted person. As someone who has severe PTSD I really like this feature as it gives me piece of mind if I were to have a PTSD/Anxiety attack while driving. I can use it on myself to summon my oldest daughter to help me out or allow her to contact law enforcement/medical assistance if needed.
Installation on this is tricky at best, if you’re not familiar or comfortable taking trim pieces off your car then I recommend having a professional do the installation. You don’t have to do this, but wires will be exposed and it’s not aesthetically pleasing. After about 2 hours I got everything installed and running.
You do get 3 months of free services but after that it can cost between $10-$20 a month based on what plan level you select. I’m giving this product 3 stars for this feature alone, at least one year of service should be included. Unless something changes I’ll probably stop using this after my trial period ends.
After spending $600, it seems greedy to ask people to pay $120-$240 a year for extra services.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Practical & Performs As Intended

If it this thinking it would be a great addition to my cleaning routine and to be honest, some days it works great, others you can’t even tell if ran.
Set up, installation and app sync are all pretty standard, I do like how I can (and have) synced this with my Google Home/Nest App which allows me to run it on demand. App is simple, intuitive and communicates well.
I have to 2 dogs (short and medium hair), linoleum, tile and carpet that needs cleaning. I initially tried to have it clean the house during the day but it became too chaotic with dogs and my usual home routine so I set it up to run at night. First use it got stuck on my stairs, it sensed the cliff (as it’s designed to do) however it didn’t stop in time and was hanging over the edge too far to self correct. Next couple of times it kept getting stuck under my recliners so I changed its area of operations to only run in the kitchen/dining room area, which is all linoleum.
After that change it started working a lot better but it can be loud in a quiet house at night so after a few nights of trial and error I got Sidious (yes that’s his name) on a good schedule.
Now to figure out to say execute order 66 to start a cleaning cycle

Got this for the wife because, in her own words, was starting to feel like Magnum PI and reviewed by both of us.
Set up was super simple, insert battery and go. She’s used it twice now and said it’s good for about an every two week use. The LED light makes seeing what you’re doing easy, a built in mirror in the cap, which she really likes and of course the color, she digs it big time!!
This is a lightweight device, (1/2 pound) for dry shaving use only, do not use in the shower as you will destroy it. Working in small strokes she was able to easily remove any unwanted face fuzz. Not once did get nicked, hair grabbed or cut. It was so good she wishes she could use it on her leg hair but the manual warms it’s not designed for coarse hair. Lastly the blades have a self sharpening system so it’ll always perform at peak.
There’s no carrying case but since it’s so small it can fit into small purse easily, it will not fit in a clutch.
Wife’s ecstatic about having this and I’m happy she’s not plucking her face to death anymore.

WE’VE GOT THE GOOD ICE!!!!

I have wanted one of these for the loooooongest time and let me tell you it was worth the wait. Setting up was a bit of challenge, mainly cause I hooked up the wrong hose (there’s 2 back there, one for the side tank and the other is a drain hose) but once I cleaned up all the leaking water it went well. Make sure you run the clean cycle with some bleach to sanitize before you start making ice and then rinse it 3 times (book says 2 but I could still smell bleach in there so I went 1 more).
Don’t be like me…you cannot take the top off the side tank, unscrew the bottom cap and fill with water, replace the cap and then attach to the tank base. I don’t know why I didn’t that, but yeah me
I let the machine run overnight before using (even though there was ice in about 10 minutes) and I think it was better as the ice was solid and wasn’t watery. There was some water left in the side tank after running and the taste is oh so like everyone’s favorite fast food place.
Excellent crunch and it just can’t be beat if you’re into chewing ice like myself.

At first I was hesitant to get this because I didn’t think I could find a use for an electric scooter like this, but I was very wrong.
This is a fun fun ride…I’ve ridden it to church, local store & around the block and I have to admit… I’m a believer now!!
It takes on average 5 to 6 hours to charge and I’ve been able to go 30 miles on a single charge without needing to charge it and not noticing any drop in performance. I have noticed that around miles 32. It does start to slow down because it’s getting near the end of the charge, but that’s to be expected with the battery and usage. Additionally I have been able to get it up to 20 miles an hour (on a flat road) which is what is advertised for its top speed (You don’t realize how fast 20 miles an hour is until you’re riding a scooter).
It has all the bells and whistles that I like; single touch folding bod (weighs 45lbs which is very manageable), rear light, front suspension, a digital display (speed, cruise control (which is AWESOME) and you can even use a digital code to lock the scooter to discourage people from taking it because it won’t operate without the code.
One thing you need to be aware of is using it on the road. Some states require that if you use it on the road it has to have a license plate & you must wear a helmet. Some states don’t so make sure you contact your local DMV to ensure you’re in compliance with road use.
I was highly skeptical of getting one of these, but now that I have one, i’m a big believer!!!

Just WOW!! I had to get Bumblebee to compliment my Optimus Prime and let me tell you…Robosen blew it out of the water!
The packaging is super premium, you can feel the quality throughout and it screams luxury goods. Once you get Bumblebee out just the feel (of the robot) alone is amazing. Rich yellows, top tier paint and authentic G1 style, nostalgic.
Speaking of being generation 1 every detail of robot and bot form are true to the specs. Bee has his signature horns and true Volkswagen Beetle shape, his eyes light up that soft blue color and even the headlights works (both robot and car mode)!!!
I could gush all day about just the looks alone but let’s talk about the reason you get this, the ability to fully customize what he does and what he says. The app is straightforward and syncing Bee to it takes no time at all.
The pose combinations are endless and it even had gait adaptation…it can walk with you!! Comes preprogrammed with 69 G1 sound bites and my personal favorite is the theater mode.
That’s right, put Optimus and Bee into this mode and They will interact with each other and put on an entire show for you, complete with dialogue and action sequences, it really does make you think you’re right in the middle of the war with the Decepticons!!
We actually ate dinner one night while the bots entertained us…freaking awesome!! Can’t recommend this enough!!

Is it worth it, getting the 2yr Warrenty with the PS3??????
YES!! Get the warranty, you walk in with your busted system, they check the receipt and you walk out with a new one!! I recommend to always back up your data with a thumb drive as they do not transfer for it for free. Geek Squad will charge you $50 for the transfer. Don't worry about the trophies, those sync to the Sony server and replaced by syncing the new console with the server.

How long is your warranty on Ps3 and do you offer military discounts?
Best Buy does not offer the warranty unless you pay for the Black Tie Protection which varies based on the system size and the length of warranty. Best Buy as a corporation, does not offer a military discount. However, I'm in the military as well and my BBY offers a military night 3 times a year which gives us 10% off everything in store (except price locked items) and 20% of all Geek Squad services. Talk to your local BBY and have them contact the BBY in Vacaville CA about hosting a military night. They do it right, they do it the best

How can I get them cheap?
I was going to buy a ps3 but the whole thing is I'm on a tight budget right now, and I'm not really into the whole online auction deal where you have to give your credit card number and all that personal information. It seems that everywhere I look they're at least $250 or more and I'm not looking for a 320GB ps3 I just need even a 40GB I just need some help.
If you want one cheap you'll have to go pre owned route. Sony has discontinued the 40/80 GB models. Now that BBY has preowned check the stores in your area to see if they've got any and if not, check the competitors.

Does Best Buy carry an 80gb Playsation 3, new not refurbished? And how much would it cost?
Not any more as Sony discontinued that model. If you do find one I would buy it as a lot of PS3 owners prefer that model (myself included) and would jump at the chance to get it again. I prefer that modal as it has 4 USB ports, and the extra memory slots (SD, XD, etc.). If you do find one expect to pay around $300.

what is the lifespan of the slim ps3
i know frum experience and research that the "fat" models only had about 2 year life..then u encounter laser and overheating issues..have these issues been addressed on the slims?
I have a fat model that's lasted for 4 years. I play about 10-20 hours a week. The secret to taking care of any of the new gaming systems is ventilation! Keeping your system in a well ventilated area will extend it's life many years. Dust the components regularly and keep any moisture away. The same goes for the slim models; keep it ventilated and it will last years.

Certain Best Buy's will take trade in's based on condition of the game. The newer the game, the more trade in value. However, most DS games won't get more than $8-$10 trade in value. Check online using the store locater tab to locate a Best Buy that will take trade ins. It's also recommended that you have the original case and instructions as that add's to the value.

They no longer make the 40GB model. You'll only be able to find them on eBay. They make 120 and 250GB models now

Easiest way is to put them on thumb drives, externals, etc. and just plug it into one of the USB ports. You'll be able to transfer any that are properly formatted. Jpeg is the preferred format.

Sony traditionally ships around the 5th and 20th of every month and if they have any to release, they'd be in there. Best Buy can order all they want, but unless Sony is willing to release, there's nothing much us mortals can do.

I seen some on the web site but they are gone.
After speaking to the Geek Squad at my NorCal Best Buy the refurbished ones are gone within 24 hours of hitting the store, you have to be lucky and in the store when it hits because they are few and far between.
