Clark Griswold and his family get to celebrate the holidays in digital splendor in this DVD release of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. The film has been transferred to disc in its original widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1, which has been enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors. The original English language soundtrack has been remixed in Dolby Digital 5.1, while an alternate track dubbed in French appears in Dolby Digital Mono. The movie also features optional subtitles in English, French, and Spanish. No bonus materials have been included.

This movie is a great choice for any movie collection. It is a classic that I remember watching as a child on a constant basis and surprisingly it has a very nice warm holiday feel to the movie, despite it being a National Lampoon's movie.
Gotta love the Griswald's...
What's great about it: Great Movie. Good to watch anytime of year.
What's not so great: Extras were kind of weak.

First off, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster is NOT Christian Rock. They are classified as Southern hardcore (SouthernCore).
But onto the topic of this album. I purchased this album in the beginning of 2006 and I loved it. Dallas Taylor, the old singer of Underoath, puts definate force behind his voice and completely brings a ferocious voice to the very southern metal guitars. From start to finish, great album. I still listen to it to this day. These guys are definately going to become a big thing.
They also put on an INCREDIBLE live show.
What's great about it: Very southern. Very raw.
What's not so great: Nothing comes to mind.

The vines. One of the first albums I ever purchased. I heard the song, "Get Free" and was in intrigued at the sound the vines were putting out. When I purchased this, I didn't take it out of my cd player until one of my friends asked to borrow it and I never saw it again... Kind of sad but it was amazing while it lasted! Great sound!
What's great about it: Something to sing along to.
What's not so great: These guys haven't put anything out in a while.

Portugal. The Man has taken a different path with music compared to most bands of today by straying away from the unnecessarily large amounts of distortion and screaming and going back to what makes music beautiful. I have played this album countless times and every time I listen to it, I seem to find out something new about it that I enjoy. Mixing beautiful music with the revolutionary voice of John Gourley making something that today's music industry has been needing for a long time. Portugal. The Man is a band that everyone should try out at least once. I guarantee you can't be disappointed.
What's great about it: Very inventive and revolutionary.
What's not so great: Nothing.

Musical Revolution
on November 9, 2008

This album is an incredible musical feat, breaking through the barrier of today's musical "norm."
A classic start to finish album. Johnathon Gorley is a beautiful singer comparible to Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant. Each song flows into the next, making it seem as though the tracks never change.
If Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd had a love child, it would be name Portugal. The man.
What's great about it: Perfect album. From start to finish.
What's not so great: No flaws to speak of.

There's a reason it's the number one game.

World of Warcraft.
Every one has heard of it. Even non-gamers. I mean, it's very difficult to go anywhere without hearing someone talking about it.
This game very well may be the King of all MMORPG's. And how could it not be? With the captivating lore, to the extensive landscapes stretching on for miles, down to the tiny gnomes. I played this game because everyone talked so highly of it, and coming from EQ, I was extremely skeptical. But with all of my friends getting sucked into the game, I decided to give it a shot. I started out with the Ten day trial, and by the end of the first day, I was not even close to being ready to turn the game off. By the end of the second day, I went out and bought the game. I couldn't help myself. I was hooked.
The PvP is incredible, somewhat annoying when you get people who kill you outside of major cities, and sit there waiting for you to respawn. But it motivates you to do the same when you get to a higher level.
The Instance aspect of the game is brilliant, challenging the best of player's and testing the bindings of your group as a whole. The best gear of the game is found in these dungeons.
Getting slaughtered time and time again by a much higher level member of the opposite faction? Battlegrounds is group PvP at it's finest, matching you to a level group of the opposite faction. (bracket systems. 10-19, 20-29, etc.)
Quests are plentiful with new ones being added daily. You could be going on a simple "go get me my broom" or a "bring me the head of the Archmage Arugal."
Blizzard is constantly patching issues in the game to discourage cheating and unfair advantages to each class and race, with every Tuesday being "Patch Day" and causing servers to go down typically for a few hours.
In conclusion, this game is the biggest game to have ever hit the shelves and there's no reason why anyone couldn't enjoy it's captivating features.
What's great about it: Blizzard support, MMORPG. Constantly something to do.
What's not so great: Girlfriend's seem to REALLY dislike the game. haha.

They better make another one, because i'm definately getting it as well.
What's great about it: Compelling storyline.
What's not so great: The cliffhanger was really aggrovating. That's it though.

Boyz-in-the-hood is probably the most entertaining song on the album. Very peculiar twist on the classic. Very funny to hear some white guys singing it... A must hear!
What's great about it: Catchy. Gangster. haha
What's not so great: The only album from these guys...

I absolutely enjoyed this album from start to finish. I originally bought this album not expecting to enjoy how I did. I also showed this to a few different people and they also went out and bought this album. Kind of sad that this band isn't as big as they should be. But if you like really catchy tunes then you will not be disappointed in this investment. Worth EVERY cent!!!
What's great about it: Every song is very catchy.
What's not so great: I lost my copy haha...

When MGM released The Wizard of Oz on DVD there was little doubt it was the best version on home video, but Warner Bros., which now has the rights to this title, has gone out of its way to give DVD owners the best-looking and best-sounding version of the film. The picture quality is as good, if not better, than the MGM version. The huge amounts of color in every frame come across perfectly. The sound quality is excellent. The film has a new 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack. There's only so much that can be done for the sound with a film this old, but they did a fine job. The majority of the sound comes from the front-center speaker, with a little use of side and surround for music numbers, but everything is clear and very distinct. The highlight of this disc is the wealth of bonus material. While a good amount of these extras were previously available on the Ultimate Oz laserdisc, there is even more for DVD owners. One of the most interesting parts of the disc is a huge audio program that lets viewers hear outtakes of songs and other recorded material. It is a pleasure to hear Judy Garland sneeze in the middle of a song. The lengthy documentary, hosted by Angela Lansbury, is also a treat. The amount of documentation on this disc is amazing and covers all elements of the film's production. Some may say the hours of extra material are a bit overwhelming, but the treasure herein makes the time commitment worthwhile. The viewer is able to easily access the different pieces from the creative menus. The only drawback to this DVD is that the packaging claims it contains the shooting script, but it's nowhere to be found. The MGM version of this movie was fine, but Warner has given viewers a disc that really can be called a special edition.

They may be Christians themselves, however this is NOT considered Christian Rock.
As you can see now, Best Buy has switched them over from Christian Rock, to Heavy Metal.
I was merely referring to the musical genre they belonged in.
The mistake has been corrected.
And for proof on what the band themselves classify themselves as, you can check out their myspace.

PS,
Agreed, they are very insane.

What type of xbox 360 does he need?

My son has a PS2 and loves it! Now he wants an xbox 360 because it has more games. We're looking at the $199 console and the $299 console. What is the difference? He will not be playing "online" games or downloading anything. What about memory sticks -- does he need those? What is the red ring of death? He does leave his PS2 on (turns tv off), so that it will save his place on the games. Should I be watching for special deals since it is close to Christmas? I'm just really stupid when it comes to video games.
Ok. The answer here would definately be the $299 console. You really don't want to leave game consoles on for extended periods of time for the simple fact of wear and tear. It wears everything down. It sounds like to me, the $299 console would be your best solution. It has the hard drive included so saving games is a breeze.
And the red ring of death is when the green ring around your power button goes red because of internal problems. But if this happens, Microsoft should be notified and I believe their warranty covers it, as long as no modifications have been done on it, or repairs have been attempted by someone not qualified to perform the necessary repairs. But if you really are worried about the red ring of death, you should consider investing in Best Buy's Black Tie Service Package Two Year Warranty(PSP). If anything goes wrong with it, they will either fix it, or give you another one.

What do I need to get for an Xbox 360?

I'm thinking of getting a 360 (Arcade), but if I do, what else would I need to get? I know that I would need a Hard Drive, but is there anything else needed, like any extra cables?
If you buy the console brand new, you shouldn't need anything else. Maybe a HDMI cable if you have HD T.V.
Hope this helps.

can you have xbox live with out a internet in your house

Was this a serious question?
The only way I can figure you could have xbox live without having internet in your house would be if your neighbor's had an unsecured wireless network.
