Excellent movie

I recently purchased this movie again on blue ray and I can say it certainly has re-watch value. I think a great amount of the fun is experiencing the suprise ending with someone that hasn't seen the film before (which is actually why I bought it). Truth be told I think I enjoyed it just as much. If this is not already a part of your movie collection you need to make one.
What's great about it: The story and plot twists
What's not so great: Nothing

A fine game

Well before I ever played this game I was pretty skeptical about liking it. I am a musician and I thought why play this game when I can do the real thing. Well needsless to say I was hooked by the second song that I played. I really didn't have some crazy advantage like I thought I would either it is certainly its own animal. I think in some instances knowing how to play the guitar in real life tripped me up a bit when I played the fake one for the game. This is a game that I think can be enjoyed by anyone, which given the number of copies it has sold is probably pretty obvious to a vast portion of the world but... I thought my 2 cents couldn't hurt.
What's great about it: Its just plain fun
What's not so great: Just depends on the song

The vengeful Bride returns to cross a few more names off of her rapidly shortening list in Miramax Home Entertainment's release of Kill Bill Vol. 2, and though it feels like only a precursor to the inevitable feature-packed release that will follow soon after, this release does offer a few choice gems in addition to a solid presentation of the feature attraction. Presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen, the image offers even skin tones, solid blacks, and vivid colors. Though the occasional intrusion of edge-enhancement may prove somewhat distracting to some viewers, the overall commendable visual presentation is generally solid. Audiophiles will be happy to note the inclusion of both an English-language Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 track, both of which are accompanied by closed captioning and provide a rich, full-bodied listening experience without any notable distortion or hiss. In addition to an alternate French-language audio track, Miramax has also seen fit to include optional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish subtitles. Of course, fans of both Kill Bill films are no doubt aware of Miramax's plans to release them at first separately and then with a super deluxe combo package following at some point in the near future, and though the extra materials provided on this disc are indeed satisfying, they do seem more like an appetizer than a hearty meal. A three-and-a-half-minute deleted scene in which Bill faces off against a vengeful gang of thugs whose boss he previously killed finds Tarantino's Shaw Brothers fanaticism in full effect. A 25-minute behind-the-scenes segment offers interviews with Tarantino, Uma Thurman, Daryl Hannah, and David Carradine in which they discuss the appeal of the characters and the manner in which Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 compliment one another. Though those looking for in-depth details regarding the production may walk away with a slight pang of disappointment, viewers simply looking for a little fun will surely enjoy the featurette. Rounding things out is a solid performance by Chingon at the Kill Bill Vol. 2 premiere, in which the band (featuring director Robert Rodriguez on guitar) strums one of the tunes from the film's soundtrack.

For any fans of way too violent anime or kung fu movies or for anyone that likes a good old funky 70's flick this movie is really a lot of fun. If you haven't already seen it you need to.
What's great about it: Irreverant gory action.
What's not so great: If you don't like cheesy 70's music ...

Why Pay more?

I should start out by saying that I am not a hardcore audiophile. I just wanted a solid sound thru ok speakers (factory). I basically just wanted something to replace my factory deck. I have been very happy with what I got for the money in this model. Crisp sound and a solid performer the install was done in like 20 min. I have listened to some expensive car systems in my friend's cars and I don't think they sound any better. This is really the way to go if you want solid sound in your car without spending a lot of money. For the iPod users just use an eigth inch audio link cable thru your aux input and don't worry about other models that are "iPod ready".
What's great about it: Great sound (its a sony) easy installation
What's not so great: None so far.

will an upconvert dvd player upconvert you cable signal whan ran through it?

If the cable is digital you should already be gettting HD thru the signal sent to you. It will be up to the TV to make the most of that.

What is a compatible DVD player?

I have a Panasonic Digital Dolby Home Theater System with surround sound. My DVD player is broken. Can I purchase a separate DVD player and it be compatible with the rest of my system. If so, what do you suggest?
Most likely yes. Just make sure that whatever version of dolby your home theatre is rated as the player can accomodate (most new players should work fine though).

How do I get my DVD player to play the mini DVDs?

I have a DVD+rw disc and it will not play on my DVD player or in my Laptop. My DVD player says that it cannot read disc.
It can be a pain to get some DVD devices to read your back up copies but what to pay attention to is the format. Some players easily read disks written in a "+" format (box of disks labelled "DVD+R") but not in "-" format ("DVD-R"). Some old DVD players cannot interpret burned disks no matter what format they are burned in. If you have such a player buy a new one that will read the format you write in (I recommed the LG DN898 which will read pretty much any format) or if it is a sign mismatch try playing a disk written on the opposite format from what you have tried in the past.

Do you have some sort of a guide that I can use to connect my cable box to my surround sound so that I can hear the regular TV channels.

The things is that I bought a 47" flat screen HD LCD TV at one of your stores and I also bought the HD LCD Calibration package along with a PS3 and the neccessary Monster Cable that was offered at the time of purchase. The problem is that when the GEEK SQUAD came to do the calibration they told me that they could not connect the cable box to the surround system since it was not part of the package. I would really appreciate any feedback that you can give me. The way I have it hooked up now I have to turn the volume on the surround sound just to hear the TV. THANKS FOR THE HELP.
It seems as though your sound should come from the TV into the AUX setting on the Stereo reciever so if you have the cable box hooked correctly to the television you should be sending sound along the connection. Make sure that your cable box is hooked into the "in" catagory for the av inputs on the back of the television then the out portions (for the audio) should send the sound to your surround in one signal.
