The game started freezing on me within 45 minutes of gameplay. I've restarted it and it will eventually do the same thing to the point where the game renders itself completely unplayable. Talk about a huge waste of 60 bucks!!!! No patches for Xbox or PS3 yet...and it has been out a couple weeks already. DId they not hire game testers?!!!!!
P.S. please google "FALLOUT NEW VEGAS FREEZES" and you'll be amazed at how many people are experiencing these major bugs.

I have had so much fun with this game. It is full of endless possibilities. The main storyline is great, but ones attention is easily diverted due to all the fun and sometimes challenging side missions. Character progress is essential if one wants to beat the game. Upgrades to character, magic, and skill are all accomplished through performing you core strengths throughout the game. It is an awesome setup that takes some practice, but when mastered, makes for intense and fun game play. I highly recommend this game to all who consider themselves true RPG fans. Note those who didn't like this game, don't understand the purpose of RPG play. They are shallow brained.
What's great about it: Tons of places to go to and missions to accomplish, each time played is different, best RPG of its kind.
What's not so great: Not every place discovered has a story behind it like Fallout 3. Not very many flaws.

I like practically everything about this game. If you didn't know already, it was produced by the same people who brought you Oblivion. I liked that game, but enjoyed this one much more. It is obvious that they learned from their previous errors with Oblivion in order to enhance the RPG experience with Fallout 3. So much time can be spent doing side missions that one nearly forgets about the main story. Unlike Oblivion, every place that you discover has a story behind it. You character is completely malleable and simple choices that will determine you fate will stem from the the very first choices you make as a kid. The story, once completed, is deep and full of twists and turns. I am nearly beating it for the second time...the second experience was completely different than the first. Love this game and highly recommend it to any true RPG fan.
What's great about it: Fighting, making of own weapons, plethora of intense missions, hundreds of locations, great storyline and ending.
What's not so great: The start is a little slow, but still interesting and essential to the entire story.

Buggy, broken and disappointing

I'm an old fan of the Obsidian team (back to Planescape:Torment) and the Fallout series as well. Unfortunately the fantastic design, characters and flexibility of New Vegas are overshadowed by horrendous crash bugs. My game will consistently lock up mid-play, blue screens, and disk errors. I'm on my second game disk (hoping there was a manufacturing error) and still having the same problems.
