Ted Demme's ensemble romantic comedy Beautiful Girls comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround and Dolby Digital Stereo. There are no subtitles on this release, but the surround soundtrack is closed-captioned. The disc is a bit on the expensive side, especially considering that there are no extra features, but it does do a good job of presenting the film. The performances -- the highlights of the film -- come across just as well on the small screen as they did in theaters.
