Character doesn't talk?

I bought this game based on the cool trailer videos, the character creator download that was on the DA website, and that the game seemed conected to Mass Effect... I have only played for about two hours, but so far I am not impressed... the graphics are just ok... and while you pick a voice for your character, I haven't spoken once in the game... Your character just stands around with a dumb look when they do actually show it... I don't know if there are special cut scenes down the road where your character talks or what... but for now it is very disapointing. The game is a bit long to rent, but if I were you I would wait until it is cheaper... The other thing I don't like is they release the game with DLC content that always bothers me as it seems it is just a way to get additional cash out of us gamers... it's one thing if it is down the road, but when it's released with the game it seems it should be part of the game not an expansion or add on... If you liked oblivion then I guess your used to not talking so then it would be ok... my frustration comes more from the misleading character creator and ties to Mass Efect... I also hate the circles around the charactrers... I feel like I am playing ultimate alliance with Thors mute cousin.
What's great about it: Long RPG with many options
What's not so great: Misleading
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Game

I am not a VH fan, but being a solid Hard dificulty player and decent Expert player the VH songs in this game are very fun to play. In my opinion GH5 is set up the best with graphics and game mechanics, but as far as fun songs go VH has it... I am referring only to the VH songs though, most of the non-VH songs on the game, while songs I like, not near as much fun to play. There is a section 3-4 songs at the end that are just famous solos, that are very cool and fun to play. If I hadn't gotten the game free with GH5, I probably never would have owned this game and I would have missed out on I think the most fun GH game I have played. FYI I have all GH games except smash hits and Metallica, so I can't compare it to those two, but compared to the rest it's great. Also the disk has mostly VH songs vs Areosmith which seemed to only have like 5 Aerosmith songs.

What's not so great: Not set up like GH5

To connect the xbox-360 to xbox live did the cable come with the system or do you need to buy the cable?

All three of the xbox's I have purchased came with a ethernet cable... 2 Pro's and an Elite if you can't find it any will do, just plug it into the back of your xbox and then to the router.

how do you save a play the game on the hard drive?

how do you save the game on the hard drive?
There is an xbox 101 that covers this in detail you can fidn in the archive... but you should go to the my xbox tab and when you are on the game panel, hit y for options if it is a game you can put on the hard drive the option will be there... you will have to have the game in to play, but it will improve load times and keep the disc from turning.

Xbox vs PS3

My 7 yr old son is wanting a new game system for Xmas and I can't decide between the 360Pro and the PS3. We currently have original Xbox and he likes mostly sports games and the Lego games. The PS3 looks better in my opinion (plus it has Blu Ray ability) but I wonder if the games for it are more adult-oriented. I have also heard the stories of 360's going bad or is this not so much the case with the newer ones? Anyway when I ask him which he'd prefer he always says the Xbox360 first.
If he likes playing games then it is the 360... if he likes watching Blu-rays and playing the occasional game then a PS3. While Xbox was more geared to hardcore gamers, they have started a family game line and working hard to move in a family direction. You should Google “project natal” this will make all the difference next year. Also the big draw to x-box is the online gaming, while he is a bit young (I don't let my 7 year old on it yet) it definitely will allow for more options down the road. The x-box did have quality issues but it seems they have been resolved; also they were very good about fixing them even out of warranty. Also with the price drops I would recomend the Elite it comes with the biger hard drive and the HDMI cable... with all the arcade games avaialable for down load and other DLC it makes sense to get it.
