My wife's previous phone (LG G2) decided to die, so suddenly we needed to find her a new phone. I loath the thought of paying $700 for a new one, so I looked around. I considered getting the Moto G4 because I had recently bought that for my mother. And, that's a terrific phone too. But, I wanted to get one a little better, especially the camera as well as have the phone know which direction it is pointed in (Moto G4 can't do that).
I can't be more pleased by this phone. The screen is terrific and the touch response works great. It is plenty fast for our use (no game playing other than Candy Crush or something not as CPU-intensive). Connects to AT&T and wifi with good signal, no problems. Plenty of space for apps. And, the camera image quality is also very good. As far as the hardware goes, I'm having trouble figuring out why I'd ever want to pay $700 for a phone. I really don't see any advantage in that, and most people probably won't either. And, I have what was a $700 phone too (LG G4) and this phone is at least as good (except maybe the camera... LG G4 really has a nice camera). So, this is now my new favorite surpassing my previous favorite of the Moto G4 for only $70 more. If you're deciding between the two, get this.
While the camera is good, the camera app that Motorola puts on all their phones is rather lame. You can't do basic things like self timer or panoramas. So I installed the free Open Camera on it which has many more features.
Stay in touch with loved ones with this unlocked Motorola Moto G phone. It has a thin, lightweight design for comfort and a micro-texture back and rounded edges for an enhanced grip. TurboPower-enabled charging provides extra battery juice in 15 minutes, and you can talk with others via any carrier with this unlocked Motorola Moto G phone.

I was looking for a phone for my mother who really doesn't know anything about technology, and would have no need or appreciation for what extras a $700 phone would offer. So, I wanted a budget price but without being rather lame or awful like many of them are. This one fits the need perfectly. I'm impressed by nice this phone is. The screen looks good. Swiping and navigating around the screen also feels good and is quick and pleasant. It is fast. Wifi and mobile data all work great. The camera is decent enough but I've had better (our LG G2 and LG G4 both have better camera). Calls are good. And, the battery life is rather surprising; I have had this on for 3 days so far, playing with it some during that time, and battery still says 80%. My LG G4 would be drained the same day. The phone even has a microSD slot, and that's unusual for a budget phone (although Mom will not be needing that).
One minor annoyance was that the virtual keyboard installed in here is terrible (letters too small and no borders around each letter). I easily rectified this by installing SwiftKey. Best Buy could not activate it even though I bought it there, but 3 doors down was AT&T who had little trouble adding it to my plan. I have seen reviews about it getting "hot"... this in no way got anything close to hot after several hours of use. It barely gets slightly warm.
This phone is so good that many people should question whether a $700 phone is at all necessary for them. Although, it may be: This phone can't tell where it is pointed, so features such as Google Photosphere, or Google Sky Map, or a compass or geocaching app are going to be useless. But, you can still navigate with this phone since navigation apps like Waze and Google Maps know which direction you are headed based on your coordinates changing in a specific direction down a road. And, the camera may be an issue if you need the absolute best. I gotta say I haven't used the camera enough yet to be sure how good it really is or not, but what little I did seems okay so far.
Comparisons with other budget phones: A few months back, I bought a Samsung J3(6) as a budget phone for about the same price. That thing was terrible (slow and the screen felt very bad with lots of friction making it difficult to swipe), and screen stopped working after a week so I returned it. My wife has an LG G2 for about the same price, and it is terrific, but they don't make it anymore. So, I think the Moto G4 is your best bet now.

I've had this for a few days so far, and so far I'm quite pleased. The UI is responsive. The Lollipop version on here gave me no issues like it did on a previous Google Nexus 7. The screen looks very good. (The only screens I've seen that look better are those amoled ones.) Note, I do not do gaming so I can't speak for gaming responsiveness; it works great for "normal" use.
The phone is a bit bigger than I expected, since I also got an LG G2 and somehow thought they'd be the same size. This is pretty big, about as big as I'd possibly want it before it becomes a problem. It isn't a problem for me though. I bought a case with it and don't have much trouble with it on the belt clip, as long as I turn the phone sideways so it'll fit when I sit down.
I normally play audio to a bluetooth speaker for maximum listening volume, but the speaker in here works decently enough; I have no trouble hearing what I am listening to (podcasts or youtube videos) unless I am in a car (then I use the audio jack). I also tried my BlueParrott headset with this for phone calls, and it worked great, no choppy sound like another device did.
The battery life in standby is very good. I was surprised at how slow the battery strength dropped if I have it connected to the network but just don't do much of anything with it. It also dropped very slowly while listening to a podcast with the screen off. Once in use though, with the screen on (as dim as I can bear it), battery strength drops quite quickly. So far, I've been managing to make it to the end of the day without the battery being dead, but it's pretty low by the time I hook it back up to a charger in the evening.
The camera works well, and very fast. Every previous Android device I've used always had a delay between pressing the button and having it take a picture. If the flash is off, this takes the picture right at that instant. Indoor flash photography also works well; it adjusts the strength of the flash so the resulting picture looks reasonable, not all washed out like older devices might have done. As an avid photographer with a DSLR and nice lenses, filters and other contraptions, I'm still always a bit disappointed by smart phone cameras though. The pictures still aren't as sharp as I'd like, and the colors are not as vivid as I would hope. But, I guess that's to be expected with a tiny lens like this. I do like that both cameras on here are good, rather than just one of them, so selfie pics some out well too.
I happened to buy an LG G2 online and sign this up to the AT&T plan at the same time I bought this G4. So far, I don't notice the G2 and G4 are much different. The G4 is a little bigger. Both have nice cameras and screens, and are responsive. If you're looking to save a lot of money, and don't absolutely positively need the latest of everything, the G2 is worth considering; it is the best lower-priced phone you can buy today.

I was expecting to mount this on two studs, but noticed it requires one stud once I opened it up. Regardless, it mounted easily and is holding well. If the stud wasn't already centered, I would be nervous about moving the TV 8" to the side of this mount to make it centered as it would cause uneven weight distribution and thus more force being applied from one direction rather than the other. Fortunately, my stud is centered.
I don't really need to tilt the TV after installing, but it tilts easily when I try, and I can reach the knobs behind it to adjust the tension (but I don't need to - default tension seems appropriate for the weight of my 37" Insignia TV, allowing it to be tilted at a different angle and just the right tension to still hold in place).
Before buying this, I bought a Sanus that I had to return because it didn't have the right sized screws; my TV needed the M5 screws, and Sanus had M4 and M6 but no M5. This Rocketfish has M5, although I'd guess there will be TV's that won't work for this but do work for the Sanus.
Also, my Insignia TV for some reason has the power cord stick out the back instead of from the bottom, making low profile mounts a problem for it. But, it was no problem here; the cord sticking out the back has enough room and is not pressed against the wall.
What's great about it: Solid, holding well, easy to put up

The light status of each device claims it is "connected" but absolutely no audio would go through (yes I turned up the volume on the sender). The test tones for my receiver would cause the sender device to actually make a rapid clicking sound. I suspect this is not good, although I could conceive of a properly functioning device perhaps being a bit noisy. However, it simply won't function. The rear speakers work fine when connected directly with the same wires, but not when using this RocketFish device. I may just have a defective device, but since I'm 1.5 hours away from nearest Best Buy now I'm no longer patient enough to exchange it and perhaps have to return it yet again. So, I'm just returning it and getting a refund.
What's great about it: If it would work, lack of cables

I had bought this to replace a Linksys E1000 that was only a few months old and still functioning. The E1000 caused my Lenovo laptop to blue screen after I connected via wifi (which is probably not Linksys's fault, but I have no say in what laptop they give me at work, so the router had to go).
I know what I'm doing and don't necessarily like CD's that come with routers. But, this one's setup worked fine and configured easily. The setup app froze up in the last step, but it had already done the setup by that time so all was well.
I never had a dual band router before. I was hoping all my N devices could go on the 5GHz band, but just the Lenovo laptop was able to recognize it. All my other devices (Android phone, Roku, netbook) went on the 2.4GHz band. It is working fine, and the laptop does not blue screen anymore.
I was originally considering the gigabit N600 but the price was worrying me. Then, someone pointed out this router is identical except for the gigabit local network support, which I don't need because my devices usually connect over the Internet rather than communicate much with each other. The price savings by doing without gigabit speed is well worth it.
Its admin UI (in the browser) is a little ugly and not as pleasant as the Linksys routers tend to be. I suppose I could try installing DD-WRT, but what is built in is working fine so far so I have not messed with it.
I've had it for 2 weeks, so I can't speak for its long term reliability yet.

Slow Shutter speed
ByexGS3
Bought this one from AT&T mainly for the camera but was greatly disappointed. It's very slow to capture any shots and slow to focus. It's photos are dimmer than my old galaxy S3. I think if this phone came out 2 years ago, this would have been the best phone! The SD card slot is what makes me want to keep this phone because my other option would have been the Galaxy S6.

Are you sure about that?

With the flash off, I've found this to be the fastest smart phone camera I've seen. You click, and it takes the photo right then, no pausing and thinking about it. Maybe you have the flash on; it'll take a couple seconds to take the picture then because it is determining how bright to make the flash to take the final picture.

Major touch screen problem on many devices
July 24, 2015
Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this phone. 2 weeks ago, mine started having severe touch screen problems, where attempts to swipe are being interpreted as taps, causing me to go to another page and have to back out. This happens on about 30% of my swipes, so it is VERY annoying. Thousands of people are having the same problem, and LG knows about it (but shows no sign of doing anything about it).
Here is a good thread on the issue: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/poll-g4-misses-unresponsive-to-touch-t3131276
