SynopsisLive in a town where the relationships that you build with animals have as much impact on your life as those you build with humans. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, you can indulge in your favorite activities all day long. Time passes in this world at a real pace, so you can observe holidays and seasonal celebrations at just the right times. Feel free to fish all day or hang out with friends, just make sure that you maintain thriving connections with your neighbors. In Animal Crossing: City Folk, the heart of the action is found in building relationships with the animals in your town as well as with other players. Spend your time doing the activities that matter most to you, whether it's playing in the snow, catching fireflies or cultivating friendships with the creatures who move in and out of the town. Design clothes and patterns for the animals to wear. Exchange letters, gifts and favors with your neighbors to cultivate friendships. And remember to listen closely to the animals ~ they always have good stories to share.

I just don't know...

So far I am not that impressed with City Folk. From the commercial it seemed so much more advanced than the Animal Crossing for Gamecube, but right now I am finding myself doing the same things. It was only about 5 years ago I played the GC one non-stop, but after about 2 hours of this one, I feel like it's more of a burden to play.
I feel like I'm playing the same old Animal Crossing, just starting from scratch now.
It's not a bad game at all for gamers new to the Animal Crossing games, but I feel like I already played this one. I'll give it more time before I eBay it. I hope once I get further in the game it'll look more like a "City" than the same old boring town.
What's great about it: Everything that was great about the first animal crossing
What's not so great: I could bust out my Gamecube and play the same game
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pretty Cool Games

We just got a Wii for Christmas and were looking for fun compilation games like Wii Play and Wii Sports. I came across Game Party 1 and thought it would be cool for just $20. My husband found Game Party 2. We were going to get both until I noticed that 90% of the games are the same, so we opted for GP2. Bummed because I really wanted to play table hockey, but wasn't paying for GP1 just for that.
The games on this disc are pretty fun, but the controls can get frustrating, but I'm having that issue with all games in getting used to the Wii. Though we did find ourselves reading the instruction manual for some of the games. Skill Ball is a lot of fun, as well as Hoops and Beer Pong rocks, it will come in handy New Years Eve! I think it's fun and so far is worth the $30. Just takes some practice with the controls, still haven't figured out how to aim in darts.
What's great about it: Fun Games
What's not so great: Same games as first, controls can be hard
I would recommend this to a friend!
