Perfect Chick Flick Soundtrack

I've been playing this CD ever since I got it! Like any good chick flick, the soundtrack has highs and lows. Some songs are upbeat and bouncy, and make me want to dance around the living room. Others are more low key...perfect for sitting around, ruminating on what the heck is UP with that guy you're seeing. I cant wait to see how these songs are placed within the movie, because they really encompass the entire spectrum of dating and relationship emotions.
There's plenty of oldie and goody artists on the soundtrack (like R.E.M., Talking Heads, The Black Crowes, Maroon 5, and The Cure). But there's also lots of newcomers..and even a fabulous performance by Scarlett Johansson! That's one of the things I love the most about this soundtrack...one minute I'm tapping my toes to an artist I've never been introduced to. The next minute I'm dancing around in a teenage memory fog to The Cure. It's fabulous!
What's great about it: variety of music, oldies and newbies
I would recommend this to a friend!
